Wish I can give half stars. This place is definitely around a 4.4-4.5/5. If you come here for nothing else, come for the BBQ!!!

Spent about $50 for 2 people for food that was very well portioned. What you’re seeing is Mongolian Beef, Shredded Beef with Onions, and the Lamb Skewers.

I will start with the good. Those Lamb Skewers were extremely flavorful. I would come back just for it. They have a seasoning on the exterior that isn’t too overbearing. For $10 you get about 4 skewers which given the size, works more for an appetizer than a main entree.

The Mongolian beef didn’t blow me away but it was good. The main issue I had was the beef itself was a bit under seasoned to let the Mongolian sauce shine and you can tell when you eat it. However, the sauce pairs very well with the white rice and I enjoyed it in spite of its short comings.

The shredded beef with onions was really good. I preferred it to the Mongolian beef. It has a hint of sweetness that isn’t overpowering and enough spice to balance it out. However, it was the same problem with the Mongolian. I feel like the beef as a base needs to be a bit more seasoned.

As a whole, I really enjoyed the food here and recommend if you’re looking for a nice cozy Chinese BBQ vibe with a pretty interior and good food.

Amazing and authentic Sichuan/Northern Chinese barbecue! First of its kind in Pittsburgh, and I’m happy to say that it doesn’t disappointment in the least! Make sure to order the spicy fish, lamb skewers, and garlic oysters! So happy I was able to stumble across this hidden gem of a restaurant, don’t miss out!

An authentic place that you shouldn’t miss. Caution because its too authentic you might not able to eat it. But if you want to try it out go for it.

We order 4 kinds of skewers: pork trotter, beef tendon, chicken skin and pork waist. All of it were spiced with a lot of cumin and chilli powder so it might overwhelm your taste.
Pork trotter is spicy, it was not fit with our taste and the skin is kinda hairy too.
Pork waist is kinda fishy on the inside but the skin is crunchy.
We only enjoy the chicken skin and the beef tendon. Chicken skin is well-seasoned and spicy. The tendon is chewy in a good way.

I was ordering a preserved and pork porridge, it was well-seasoned and you can order an extra egg for your porridge for $2. Good for winter time and especially when you are sick because the porridge is hot and heartwarming.

The taste is still very authentic, the price is a little expensive

Food was solid but you have to know what to expect with this type of Chinese BBQ. It’s a lot heavier on salt and cumin and spice than KBBQ or japanese BBQ. Bring a native Chinese speaker with you as well or you’re gonna have a hard time asking questions about menu items. Skewers are flavored well with lots of cumin and chili powder. Grilled fish was great as well.

Pro tip: Get their daily specials! My two favorite are half off the grilled fish on Mondays and free skewer if you buy a few on Tuesdays.

Parking is tough to find on this one way street after school starts so plan to spend some time looking.

Was greeting kindly by the staff when we entered and seated quickly. The restaurant itself was very pretty with a wood designed ceiling. Our waitress most likely did not understand much english as she would have to see what we were pointing at on the menu to recognize what we were saying, but she was patient and kind, so it’s something to overlook in a restaurant that definitely caters to customers who speak Chinese. The food took a while to come but it was hot when it did and was very good at that. The pan fried dumplings lacked some flavor in the pork filling, but the sauce paired with it more than made up for that (8.1/10). For the entree I had the Diced Chicken Pepper Chongqing Style, which was some of the best chicken with a spicy crunchy twist that I’ve had a long time (9.2/10). We also had Yong Chow Fried Rice which was flavorful and simple as a dish overall (8.6/10). Would recommend trying their food as they have a diverse menu that I myself want to visit again to try different dishes.

The braised duck could have been better- by being crispy. If I got again I would ask for wheat noodles.

This place sucks. Not great not good - just bad. Freezer Chinese meals are better.

Nice little place nestled in an inconspicuous spot. At first we weren't sure about it but on entering we were in for quite the suprise. The ambience of the restaurant was quite nice, staff were very helpful in describing the dishes and making recommendations. But most importantly, the food was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to all.

We are visiting from Chicago and wanted to try out a Korean BBQ restaurant the one we had in mind the wait times was over 2 hours so we quickly googled searched another spot and came across this one. The fried rice was very salty the skewers were way over seasoned and the eggplant had like a pound of garlic on top. Wasn’t what I expected. The waiter was friendly but also the language barrier made it challenging to understand
