I don’t care what anyone says, Pilez is a staple of Oakland. Great food, reasonable prices, and open 24/7. No college neighborhood is complete without a good late night food spot, and Pilez serves that purpose at Pitt. Also, I lived in Rochester for a year and can honestly say that the garbage plates at Pilez are just as good if not better than the famous garbage plate places in Rochester (such as Henrietta Hots). Yeah, eating one of these "Pilez" probably shortens my life by a year due to more cholesterol, sodium, fat, and carbs than humanly possible to consume in one sitting, and my wallet dies a little every time, but will any of that stop me? No.
