Pikeo catering company, Peruvian food is much more than a list of ingredients and recipes; it is a journey through the history, culture and traditions of a vibrant and diverse country. Each bite is an exploration of flavors and textures that invites reflection on the richness of the land and the ingenuity of its people.
I invite everyone, even culinary adventurers, to explore and enjoy the flavors of this Peruvian cuisine, each experience is an opportunity to connect with a rich and vibrant culture. Peruvian cuisine is not a passing trend in the gastronomic world; it is a timeless tradition that continues to evolve and surprise palates around the world. That is why I highly recommend the gastronomic services of Pikeo catering company,
As a native-born Peruvian, I'm pleased to state that Pikeo Catering (formerly Pisko Catering) has the most authentic and delicious Peruvian food I've ever tasted in the Pittsburgh area. Honestly, everything I've ordered from Doris (owner and head chef) is outstanding. As a few suggestions, I recommend that you start by ordering the Peruvian national dish, fish ceviche, the tuna causa, the chicken aji de gallina and, for dessert, the cookie alfajor. After you fall in love with Doris's cooking, I suggest you continue to try different menu items each time you order, because it is all REALLY good! 😋
Finding Peruvian food in Pittsburgh is really complicated, until I met Doris and I was delighted with her seasoning, her dedication to delivering everything EXQUISITE, with a lot of TIMELINESS and above all with a lot of LOVE. Super recommended, because it also offers vegan, Caribbean and Cantonese food options ✔️✔️✔️
The food was beautiful and delicious!Doris prepared and displayed it all fabulously--I highly recommend her! Highly professional and punctual as well!
Ordered here for my birthday- main courses, appetizers and desserts for 6 people. Would highly recommend all of the food- my mom is Peruvian and she loved it! Would highly recommend the causa de atún, ají de gallina, mazamorra morada and arroz con leche. Not only did I have delicious food , but it was generously portioned for my birthday- a great birthday experience and plenty of food for my guests. Would recommend to anyone.
I spent my childhood years in Peru ?? and still return with my wife and kids every few years. One of the things we look forward to doing down there, is partaking in Peru's culinary treasures. That is why I'm very happy to have found Doris and her wonderful Pisko catering company in Pittsburgh. We ordered the ceviche (Peru's national dish), causa (vegetable and tuna-based), aji de gallina, papas a la huancaina, vegetable chaufa, lomo saltado, papa rellena and, for dessert, alfajores. Everything was scrumptious and a true representation of the foods of my native country. I highly recommend Pisko Gourmet catering. ??
In Pittsburgh the best Peruvian food is at Pisko Peruvian Gourmet, but not only Peruvian food, they also prepare all kinds of international food. They prepared me a Peruvian ceviche, and this one made me move my mind when I visited Peru for the first time. Thanks PisKo!!!! I recommend it!!
I ordered the "Seco combinado" which is the cilantro beef stew with white rice and pinto beans. Imagine that! ??. Onion salad, fried corn (canchita chulpe) and spicy green sauce (aji verde) ? were given as garnish. It was fenomenal! ?? ?? very savory, good portions, delicious!. Brough back memories of Peru!. Thank you very much!. No pictures because all was eaten before I remembered to take pictures ?
Wonderful experience! Enjoyed a private dining experience at my sister's house with friends as we plan an upcoming trip to Peru. Food was delicious! Doris was prompt and very efficient in the kitchen. Would gladly work with her again.
