Place makes you get patted down before entering, made a simple joke to the bouncer and was threatened with getting my teeth knocked out. Nice lady brought me to the owner to let him know and he seemed to have cared less about his overly aggressive employee. Definitely skip this place if you’re going out on Carson Street

Literally, the best wings I have ever had. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Even the chef himself came over to check how everything was going. This place is a most go if you're stopping in PGH!

Outstanding ROMAN pizza!! Fantastic taste and supreme crust! Light and airy for thicker crust. All ingredients imported from Italy. So it's the real deal holyfield! Bon appetit yo!

Great food and drinks. Had the pepperoni pizza, and I was surprised by how good it was! Even had a side salad and it was really fresh and well put together. You can tell the staff and owners genuinely care about the customers. Definitely recommend, and I will be back!

Y'all. This pizza is worth it. I'm from the NYC metro area originally and finding pizza in this city that reminds me of home has been a very difficult quest. My partner and I saw that this spot opened up and thought we'd give it a shot, not having particularly high expectations. We were absolutely blown away by the quality of the pizza. If you're looking for a proper NYC style pizza this is the place for it. I think some other reviewers who did not like it are more used to the Midwestern style of pizza, because this took me right back to the slices I'd eat as a kid. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, the cheese is actually just mozzarella instead of provolone, and the sauce has the right amount of sweetness. On top of that our server was very nice and they've got late night slices. We will definitely be back, this is an underrated gem.

We tried a cheesesteak. The SS lost the good place years ago, and we keep hoping.

Come to find out that this tiny, over 13$ 6" sandwich is made with low-quality meat that leaves a literal gross film on the inside of your mouth that continues to taste like cheap meat even after you've rinsed out a lot. I only had a single bite of this and instantly regretted the decision.

Their American cheese was also low-grade (and in no way "sharp", and their bread would have been best at a school cookout. There were hardly even any grilled onions.

This was highly unpleasant.

We won't be trying the pizza.

NY style pizza wasn’t good at all, I’d never order it again and we threw most of it away. The Roman Pie was better, at least it was edible. Good sausage and ricotta tho. Crazy how small both pizzas were, especially for the price. $18 for 4 little slices is wild.

We had both the new york and the roman style pizzas. Both VERY good. The diavalo and margherita were both very flavorful with perfect crusts. A welcome addition to the South Side. If they get a more robust craft draft list, this place will be a can't miss destination.

Came here for lunch today and was blown away. The cheesesteak and fries were so freaking good and really hit the spot!
The staff was awesome and you can tell they really cared about the customer experience.
I love the renovations they did as well and the draft selection. Can’t wait to try the pizza next!
So happy to have Pitch in the Southside.

Stopped in because my boyfriend works down the street and saw a new restaurant had opened up. The staff immediately greeted us so warmly to where we were already having a fun time. Got some drinks , I got the one with blood orange and hot honey, and it was so good. We ordered the cheese fries and then the waiter offered us some shots. and then we had the meatball sub and a roman pizza, I don't remember which one it was but it had tomatoes spinach and ricotta I think. It was all very good food and the staff was amazing. Felt like we were just hanging out worh friends. We'll definitely be back

We were visiting our daughter in Littsburgh and tried Pitch on Carson St. We had a great experience. Food was delicious, very fresh, not overly priced. Our server Terrance was efficient and very pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

Delicious food! Thoughtfully prepared. The pizza dough is aged. The sauce is San Marzano tomatoes. All ingredients are quality. Their Roman pizza crust is an excellent cross between a Detroit style pizza and a deep dish. But it's not doughy and heavy, it's light and crispy. Terrance the bartender is a total stud. My only suggestion is that they up their wine game. What they have going now I wouldn't give to my dog. Their are plenty of affordable wines that will pair deliciously well with their primary menu items. No need to go crazy. I'm not asking for a wine cellar. Grab a robust red. Grab a medium red. A semi sweet white, and a dry white. There are a million affordable (particularly at a wholesale rate) wines to choose from that will make Pitch's food taste even better.
