Yotea & Yoka Kitchen 友茶&友家厨房

I really wanted to like this place, but the experience wasn’t great. The store didn’t feel very clean — there were always small flies flying around. I once ordered a milk foam drink and the cream tasted sour, which was disappointing. When I dined in, I finished my water and no one offered a refill; I had to ask the staff myself. Hope they can improve both the cleanliness and service.

Unbelievable how good the boba is! Tried it for the first time. Brown sugar milk tea and I’m impressed. Also the nicest staff I’ve ever encountered. Will be back for sure

Food was gross. The thing that really made me mad was the difference in prices. If you have a price on a menu, the price I pay should be the same.

Edit: I ordered directly from inside the restaurant. I did NOT purchase from a delivery platform like the owners response suggested.

Up until 7 months ago (while I was a Pittsburgh resident) YoTea used to be my regular, takeout restaurant. And I always ordered the Singapore mei fun. With this in mind I ordered yesterday since I am on a week-long visit and was utterly disappointed with the food. I ordered the Singapore Mei Fun chicken as usual, and it came with absolutely no veggies at all. Just plain noodles with rice, which was absolutely not what it was like the last time I ate here. This was simply not worth the high prices they charge. I hope this was a mistake of some sort and that they restore the good service again. But in any case, I will be taking my business elsewhere and discouraging my friends in the area as well.

Amazing hot pot! This was my first time trying something like this and it was delicious. We had the tom yum and curry hotpot. It came with veggie, meat/fish sides that you cook in the broth. Kind of like an Asian fondue!
Their boba is ok, but the food is excellent and hit the spot on a cold rainy night!

They don’t allow service animal.

I got their Yo milk boba tea today and I highly recommend and would recommend all of my friends here! The boba is chewy and soft, not hard like other stores. I would say this I’d the most freshest boba in Pittsburgh :) The egg tarts are also baked daily and have a fresh crust to them— will be back for more! ❤️❤️
