Snagged a lucky seat at the bar after a flower delivery to a neighboring restaurant and was so excited to order the lobster spaghetti I have been missing for years while Poulet Bleu was closed. It did not disappoint! The pasta and lobster were perfectly cooked and the sauce was perfectly balanced and so pleasantly aromatic. Bar service was excellent too! 10/10 recommend!

Poulet Bleu was outstanding from start to finish. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked, the roasted chicken was incredibly flavorful, and the carrots with crème fraîche were a surprising standout. The roasted cauliflower was beautifully prepared, and the meal was topped off with an amazing soufflé that was the perfect finish. An exceptional dinner and absolutely worth a visit.

Such an incredible and memorable experience. Truly one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Food was phenomenal and staff goes above and beyond. We had the steak frites, gnocchi, bistro salad, baguette, and chocolate souffle. Every item was unique and so delicious, I'll be thinking about this one until I get to come back!!

The food, service and atmosphere at this restaurant are among the best I have experienced so far.
Food was FIVE STAR, service is excellent and restaurant looks very nice, clean and well designed and operated.
It was a busy evening we sat at the bar and everything we order was fantastic. We start with Steak tartare, bistro salad, tuna carpaccio and roasted Duck and finished with Chocolate Soufflé to die for it.

This was such a memorable meal - one that I want to keep reliving over and over. As they have just re-opened, it can be quite challenging to get a reservation. Luckily, we were able to snag a spot that someone had cancelled the night before. What a beautiful space! They did such an amazing job with the renovation. The front patio area is now enclosed and all-seasons, reminiscent of a French bistro. The interior is simply stunning. We sat towards the back with a front row seat to the kitchen, where everything was running (seemingly) smoothly despite how busy it was on a Friday night. We started with drinks - a French 75 and a Turf Club martini. Next up were our apps - baguette with cultured butter, a bistro salad, and French onion soup. For our mains, I ordered the steak frites with filet mignon and bearnaise sauce while my husband went with the roasted duck. Added a side of roasted carrots. And for dessert, we had to get the soufflé. It seemed to be the most popular dish of the evening, and rightfully so. Light but indulgent, served with cherry confit, ice cream, and anglaise. Every bite was absolutely delicious and well-presented. I could go on and on, but you truly have to try it for yourself. We can’t wait to go back!

Thrilled Poulet Bleu is back! I was skeptical about the updated space and menu but can happily report that it is better than ever. The menu continues to offer modern, French inspired dishes, quality cocktails, and a hearty wine list. Not to mention, the updated space is beautiful.
Special shout outs to Logan, Mark, Lindsey, and Kate for ensuring our dining experience was exceptional from the moment we walked in.

They've been temporarily closed forever
It says here that it’s temporarily closed? Can someone confirm?
I absolutely love the place! The soufflé is to die for and they do such a great job with the food, decor and atmosphere.

I get to Pittsburgh 2-3x per year for work & personal travel and Poulet Bleu is my absolute favorite restaurant by a wide margin...longing for them to reopen soon,
Highly, highly recommend. Please don't change the decor too much, as it was perfect the way it was. Can go toe to toe with the best French bistros in NYC like Frenchette, Minetta Tavern, Pastis, & Le Gratin.

Great food and excellent service. We sat at the bar for dinner. We shared a bottle of Cabernet Franc and three dishes: the duck confit, French onion soupe, and trout amandine. Each dish was an iconic iteration of itself. Poulet Bleu nailed it. The restaurant itself is charming. Great spot for a meal and a drink.

We made reservations weeks ago for my wife and a couple with us in their mid 80’s. It was 50 degrees and raining hard. They sat us at an outdoor table. We had to leave because they had no tables inside for an hour and the inside bar had only 3 seats. It was too cold and damp for them to eat outside. We never requested patio seating. We have been at this restaurant many times and were so disappointed we couldn’t celebrate their 60th anniversary there.
Great little bistro. Service was wonderful. The food was great. Fries were a little underdone but the bartender quickly replaced them. Mussels were a little over cooked. My steak tartare was a bit grey in color but tasted great.
Absolutely incredible food! We had the Duck and Filet Mignon and the perfect wine. Absolutely divine. There was a party of super loud and drunk people who killed the ambiance a bit, so I wish someone on the staff had asked them to quiet down or leave, but I wouldn't take a star away because the meal was so good!
I appreciate the old Hollywood decor. While the service and wait staff has been good to us, I felt the food and drinks did not meet expectations. We had Filet Mignon for our frites and steak, asked for medium and received medium rare. The bone marrow was a good touch but had less than the size of a tic-tac to offer as it was mostly bone. The amount of steak was appropriate for two. For those who gone to Paris to have Frits and steak, their steak falls short but their Frits are something to compare to. The star of the night was the chocolate soufflé and pomme frites, everything else was not that memorable. Overall, paid $170 for this celebratory meal and felt we could’ve had a similar or better experience from a meal worth $60. Would come back for just the frittes.
