We purchased a school bus themed cake for my mom’s retirement (she’s a bus driver). The cake was beautiful and delicious! I spoke with Tara and she was very helpful. When my husband picked up the cake they helped him out the door and to the car as he had a baby in tow. Amazing service! I will be purchasing from here again!

3.5% handling fee all transactions cash or card is just ridiculous, don’t obfuscate your pricing.
Went for the world famous burnt almond torte, and wasn't disappointed at all. Very quick trip, in an out in about 5 minutes. Loved devouring that cake later. Worth the cost, around 40 bucks. They have a good collection of other sweet items too. Saw a bunch of pumpkin flavored stuff when I went again in October.
Delicious almond torte is awesome, but no seats available, so buy coffee at Roasters and take seats.

I got a Pumpkin Gem and an Almond Torte Bar to go. I was excited to try this place given the hype, but unfortunately the hype did not match reality for me.
The Gem was very cute, and it was effectively an iced cupcake covered in fondant to look like a pumpkin. I really like fondant, and the icing was well done. The cake was unfortunately dry and had no character. That was in common the almond torte.
The Almond Torte: the crown jewel of this bakery. It looked very pretty and was well-reviewed so I was excited to try it. The almonds had a nice crunch to them, and the icing around them was fluffy and flavorful. But that's where it ended. The cake itself was dry and flavorless to me: it was clearly expecting the icing and custard inside to mask it. Or, that the cake was supposed to just be a medium for the custard and decoration, and do just that. I think it really could have had something more defining and outright be of higher quality: more moist and have an extract in it like vanilla or almond. The custard is what 'took the cake' for me: while it was good I noticed it had ice crystals! I hope that was because the display temperature was very cold, but I can't help but think the cake could have frozen and later thawed for sale.
The staff were nice and the interior was cute, I'll give them that. The pastries look very pretty and there's lots of variety. Just on flavor and delivery, I was outright disappointed. For the price and fame, I expected better.

We recently celebrated our parents’ 50th anniversary and wanted to recreate their original wedding cake. After reaching out to several bakeries, only Prantl’s was able to bring this vision to life—and they did an absolutely incredible job.
We worked with Shanon, who was wonderful from start to finish. We sent her a 50-year-old photo of the cake, and she and the team perfectly captured every detail. The result was stunning and tasted just as amazing.
The delivery was right on time, and the delivery person went above and beyond—carefully arranging the cake and even bringing along an extra to-go box for leftovers.
Thank you, Shanon and Prantl’s, for helping make this milestone celebration so memorable for our mom and dad.

They have the same awesome recipes and pastries all the prantls have. We will not be back to this location though.

The almond torte and almond cookies are to die for.
Prantl's Bakery serves only the most freshly baked, right out of the oven goods and foods to their customers and I can see and smell it from the moment we entered the bakery. Their desserts and snacks are all on a clean and organized display, behind glasses and the counter and served by friendly staff that greeted us. We're definitely coming back here again in the future if we're ever passing by.

I tried almond croissant and it was ok. I will try almond toute next time and will update the rating.
Still thinking about this cake a year later. Placed an order through their website and called to confirm. Very easy to work with. 10/10 recommend

Had a custom cake made for my 30th birthday and i’m extremely disappointed. We showed them a photo of a white heart shaped cake and they made us a brown heart shaped cake with horrible font on it. We asked to have it done exactly like the photo. Who the hell wants a brown cake? I will never have a cake made here again.
All the hype is undeserved, over cooked croissants and the apple studel was a chunk of uncooked dough with a few cinnamon and apples on top, very disappointing

I've been shopping Prantls for 30yrs. It used to be such a treat to go there. The staff has changed the atmosphere has changed drastically. The manager had a name tag on letting you know he was the boss. He was not very personable and acted like he was too busy to wait on me but hurry up I'll take your money. Smh. The cake I bought there was decorated there and the icing was smeared. So much for presentation. Seem like the mgr would have checked the cake before giving it to me. The young lady that decorated the cake was so nice I didn't make a fuss about it. I should have listened to some of the reviews. Lesson learned. Now I'm afraid to cut the cake. If the taste is as poor as the service. Won't be going back there. So disappointed. The mgr should know how to run a business. Not my job to tell him how to improve his business.
