I ate in the south side the other day. The staff was great. The bread on the sandwich has changed. It was dry and almost Un edible.. The bread is ruining the sandwich.
I'm not sure why this place is popular. Our sandwiches were completely dry and had little flavor.
when they say they’re open till 10 or one or whatever time they say they’re open till it really means they’re only open till maybe 30 minutes before that
I ordered cheese fries to go in the restaurant and my total came to $5.34. I did not leave a tip since it was to go. The server was Hadassah based on my receipt. I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged $7.34 which means although I left a $0 tip someone in this restaurant decided to give themselves a $2 tip. This is called fraud and stealing from a customer. This is totally unacceptable. I want other customers to be aware of the Primanti Brothers on Carson Street but also need corporate to be aware of the scams going on in your restaurant with your employees. I reached out to Primanti on Carson Street when they opened and spoke to Chelsea the 'Manager' I explained to her what happened and she said give me about 30 minutes to get through the lunch rush and I'll look into and call you back. Chelsea called me back and let me know that was a mistake on their part and she could credit me the $2.00 back. She then proceeded to tell me that she needed my bank card number over the phone. I told her I will not be giving her my bank card number over the phone she said well you can come in so I can fix it. I informed her I will not be coming in to make a special trip for their mistake. She said well I cant fix it for you if you dont do either of the two options. As a manager I cant believe she thought it was okay to ask me for my bank card number over the phone when clearly her employees like taking extra money from customers. She also felt like it was okay to inconvenience me to ask me to come in as if I have time to pay for their mistakes or scams. I told her that is fine I'll call corporate. She said okay and ended the call. Consumers check you bank statement if you have been to Primanti's on the Southside.
Love the bathroom wall writing. Sandwich hit nicely. Very south side.
This place is like stepping back in time for me. I love the experience. I know there are many restaurants in the area but this is a must visit in the strip or this location. The Reuben was hot and tasty. Maybe this is a new menu item as I normally get another sandwich. The steak fries with nacho cheese, onions and peppers were great as well. The bartender was very friendly.
My wife, son, and I had the worst experience. We sat at the bar for about 5 minutes and were never acknowledged until I spoke and requested food menus. The place was busy but not too busy. 3 of the 4 wait staff were more concerned with dividing tips correctly than serving. The food took about 40 minutes to be served and was the worst meal we had in Pittsburgh. The bread was very basic. The chicken breast was more like 1/4 of a breast and dry. The bacon was paper thin. The fries were soggy and tasteless. The beers were not cold. The best thing was the wing sauce on the previously frozen boneless wings. It was horribly, over-hyped. Never again.
I’ve never been to a Primantis Brothers before. I came to the Southside location and was welcomed like family. The restaurant was clean and organized, the service was prompt and succinct, the bathrooms were immaculate. Not sure why anyone would go anywhere else if they lived here
I ate at Parmati's over the years. A bit over rated but ok. This time however the sandwich was HORRIBLE! I took 1 bite and threw it away, absolutely disgusting! I had couple beers bought an extra sandwich to and threw them both in the trash! Waste of 42$, I will never go back
A huge sandwich that resembles Pittsburgh Pennsylvania pride for years. French fries, slaw, and your choice of meat. I personally go with the corn beef! And don't forget Trappeys hot sauce, perfect on the sandwich. Like it was made specially for The Sandwich!!! J.Mitch gives 2 👍👍

I love the pastrami and cheese and I always get 2 pickles
Awesome place for a kick butt sandwich and a brew A++
We went to the one I think on carsons. They were extremely short staffed but you could not tell. The cook took very good care of us. Everything was hot and fresh. Next time we are in Pittsburgh we will be back
One of my favorite places to eat in Pittsburgh, so I hate to leave a review that they were subpar, but this time, they were.
It was a football Sunday (game day) and the place was pretty packed for lunchtime, which is great. Unfortunately they were SEVERELY understaffed. One cook, and 2 waitress/bartenders for the whole place. Service took forever, and the waitress didn't write our orders down and more than HALF of our meals were incorrect. The food that was correct was delicious, but not everyone could enjoy their meal. We'll have to hit a different location next time 😭.
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, place was one third full. They had one server, who I think was preparing and serving the food. From order time to table was 35 minutes. The food was good but the wait time was excessive.
