The seating is a little tight, I wish they would expand. Their food on the other hand to delicious, out of all the ramen places I have tried in Pittsburgh, this one is my favorite, even their appetizers are very good. The service is usually very good, this last time I went the waitress was a little rude, but ill give her the benefit of the doubt because it was very busy and she was probably frustrated.

It’s ok. Not bad. I do have a question for the owner. On the bottom of receipt why do you want a tip INCLUDING on tax amount? Do you think we wouldn’t notice or we are stupid Americans? Also, you start recommending tip at 18%??? Scammers. I also heard about your insect issues 🤢.

Obsessed with this place. The food is always perfect. The staff is kind. You never have to wait. I’m so glad I found a locally owned place that serves yummy ramen. A customer for life.

Excellent ramen at a great price, but PLEASE switch to non plastic bowls! No one wants to eat hot ramen out of plastic these days due to chemical leaching.
Food is amazing always has been. I used to come here regularly but after my experience with one of your wait staff I'm actually kind of nervous to ever eat there again. I was bullied out of the last $5 that I had in cash because the waitress wouldnt listen to my friend and I that we were doing a large tip on my friends order as I was only paying for our appetizer. We had planned on using my money for the app and split the bill so my friend was charged for our drinks and meals. When paying for my half tho the waitress became irate INSISTING that I pay more and owe her a tip. Trying to explain that we were going to do a large tip on my friends half of the bill as we normally do since we've only ever had good experiences there up until this point. It didn't matter she talked over us demanding that I give her more money and that she saw I had more money. We were cornered in the window tables. I gave her the money just so she would stop and let us leave. Seeing now that I'm not the only one who has experienced this is concerning. This issue should be addressed as I will be sure to warn people about dining her from now on. Great food but not worth being cornered and held up for your money.

Walked in during the lunch rush and asked for a table for 9, 6 small kids and 3 adults. They were very accommodating, service was fast, and food was delicious.

Stellar place for a date night, a night with friends or just a dinner out. Service and food is stellar. Would highly recommend if you find yourself in Squirrel Hill!

Had ramen bar after hearing a lot of good about it for the first time recently and I have to say that I was not impressed. I had the gyoza pork dumplings and veg egg rolls to start. The egg rolls tasted freezer burnt and the dumplings were a bit cold inside. For dinner, I did the spicy miso vegetable ramen with white meat chicken. The broth had very little flavor and was not spicy at all (even after adding a side of chili oil into it). For the service, it felt very rushed when there was no one in the restaurant. We were 1 of 3 parties throughout the hour we were there, and it was almost every minute on the minute we were being asked what we wanted. After the fifth time in five minutes, we asked if we could just call the server when we were ready. Pricing was typical for ramen ($16-$20 a bowl). The main reason I won’t be returning is simply the ramen was not very good and it really came down to the broth tasting flavorless. Definitely a one and done and would not recommend.

To my Pittsburgh people, or to anyone really, I’ve recently moved to the Baltimore, MD area… we are polluted with ramen places… nothing, NOTHING, I have had in Baltimore has beat Ramen Bar. The taste is so good, it’s not a competition whatsoever. I highly recommend the curry ramen.

Just don’t order fried rice in this restaurant. They cut a shrimp to 5 small, tiny pieces! Along with a few tiny pieces of pork! Unbelievable!
