The food here now is incredibly good. Service and Atmosphere also excellent. I've had curries, soup, salads and noodle dishes. Everything I've tried here has been great. I've had lunch and dinner, dine-in and take-out. My absolute favorites are Tilapia Rad Prik (Pla Rad Prik) and Spicy Fish Basil - both are just special, spectacular, authentic and highly recommended.
This was my first time to the Red Orchid restaurant. I found the restaurant to be very clean and comfortable. I was with a friend, and we both ordered pad thai. She happened to have the shrimp, and I had pork. The podcast was absolutely delicious and just exactly as I like it, but my friend had shrimp with the tails still on, so she had to work on those tails to be able to eat her lunch. The lunch came with either soup or a small salad, I had soup she had salad, and we both raved about how good they both were. I will go back to this restaurant many times because the service was very good and I found that the food was very good also. There was plenty of parking when I got there, but this restaurant is in a very small strip mall, making it really hard to see. If I hadn't Googled a Thai restaurant, I would have never known that it was there even though it has a big sign. When you're driving, you just don't see things that are in strip malls. We did find the desserts to be to be absolutely delicious also.
The best Thai food in Pittsburgh. I recommend the Somtam Poo Pla Ra and the Yam Nam Tok with hot sticky rice. The food here is truly authentic Thai food.
Food was really good. Staff was friendly but not around much. Not busy at all when they first opened.
Love their Tom Kha soup. Their massaman curry and panang curry is delicious too. Good service and never disappointing!
Absolutely amazing!
Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not. Inconsistent. A level 4 spice can be too weak or the next time be inedible.
Always tasty. Didn't stray from my typical order -- mango salad and pad see ew. My friend and I were both celebrating our birthday and we were treated to some mango sticky rice!!
It was pretty quiet when we got there at 4:45 but more people started to arrive later in the evening. I think a lot of people just get take out, but I love sitting to eat at Red Orchid too!
Great food ! Great staff! Atmosphere is nice.
We ordered for delivery and it was the worst thai food we have ever had.
My pad Thai was an odd brown color and tasted really off

A top spot, came with a group, they took great care. Food was all so flavorful and seemed fresh. Everyone had a great time and the atmosphere is solid.

Every takeout I get has been great. Slight inconsistency with spice level, but it’s been better than other Thai spots I’ve ordered around town
