Service is always friendly and efficient. Their lamb gyro is spectacular. Just the right mix of meat to lettuce tomatoes and tahini sauce.

The atmosphere is OK. It's super casual, and the building is ancient.

They have 2 off-street lots and minimal street parking.

Cash only. The fried green tomatoes weren't cooked enough, and it was Very loud. It could have been the day and, maybe if I ordered something else it would have been better. This was my only time visiting, so I will give them another chance

We went on a Sunday at 6:30pm. The waitress was unprofessional and unsanitary
My granddaughter ordered a milkshake. As she made it at the counter, she used her mouth to remove the whipped cream cam from the can. While taking our order, she coughed all
Over her hands. She told us about the last table who spent $64 and left her $1.10 tip. She sat at the counter and we could overhear her placing an order for food at another restaurant for after her shift.
As for the food, my granddaughter liked her coconut chocolate chip pancakes. My Greek
Salad was ok. My sister ordered the pork chop dinner which was drowned in gravy. The dinner rolls were cold and hard.
We did see another server at the counter and she was very friendly with her guests.
Very disappointing given the history of this diner.

Been here a couple of times. Went after a mid-June Sunday church service in a group of 5. The place was packed. We got lucky to find a round table in the rear. The front mostly has small tables and booths. The waitress was extremely friendly. I had the lamb gyro and it was absolutely perfect, the veggies in there, the tzatziki sauce, the way the lamb was sliced and cooked, everything was awesome. Took a while to get out food, but understandable given how busy they were. The place takes cash only. My friends had the omelettes, and liked it. I had a taste of the onion rings and they are pretty nice too. Serving size is pretty good. And total including tips and taxes for 5 people came to around 75$ which is cheap.

Did not know there was a "share charge" . One of us did not feel up to eating after a surgical procedure. Took me off guard. Probably will not visit again

A diner just as you would expect and want a diner to be. Clean, comfortable, fast service, nice staff. I had some Greek food, the gyro. As a Greek-American, I can say the gyro was one of the worst I have ever had. Dry crunchy meat with very little sauce. Ick. I didn't look at what other people were eating. But it was a busy place so it must be popular for some reason.

I have been eating in this terrific diner for oer 50 years. They have far and away the best beakfast you can get anywhere. Their homefried potatoes are perfection, exactly what homefries should be! Omelettes are large and always perfectly cooked. Their sausage links are the best I've ever had, meaty and seasond just right. I love their pancakes too. The waitresses are always friendly and efficient, some have been there for many years. Years ago, Ritter's was the place to go at 2 a.m. when the bars close on the east end. I used to live closeby and ate there often. Now I live away from the city and go there only for doctor appointments. I'm always sure to go to Ritter's for the perfect American diner breakfat!

One of the last holdovers of a more affordable Pittsburgh. Also this place is an absolute vibe. I hope it never closes!
