Rock 'n' Joe Coffee (Penn Ave)

Their black cherry chai is absolute worst drink I have ever had. It’s pure sugar and artificial cherry. It’s also more expensive than coffee shops that are actually good. Don’t get duped by the location. It’s not worth it.

Rock 'N Coffee is perfect. Great coffee and bagels served up by very friendly staff. The upstairs sitting area with balcony is so charming. Grab your Joe folks and visit them.

Easily the best coffee shop downtown. The coffee is surprisingly good and went above my expectations! Some other reviews have made comments on the employees but I found them to be perfectly friendly. If you're looking for a coffee in 'dahntahn' Pittsburgh, I highly reccomend it!

I used to love this place, but I think they're under new management or something, because the service was off. The manager spent a couple minutes talking to a sales person before noticing a customer, then the manager didn't know the menu, then my payment failed, so I stood around for 15 minutes while the mamager talked to the sales person behind me before they noticed and allowed me to actually remit payment. Bad experience, hope to be back one day for a better one: 2/5; oh, even better, when they did notice after shuffling me to move out the end of the counter, they made me feel like I was trying to steal or knowingly cheat them!

came in on a sunday at ~9:45am. 2 employees, and 3 people ahead of us. didn’t order until about 10:10 and didn’t get our coffee or food until about 10:35. The service was extremely slow. People ahead of us looked annoyed, as if they were waiting a while, too. coffee was good (although i ordered a large and they gave me a medium) but breakfast sandwich was sub-par. overall not a great experience.

Terrible … I walk in and the workers pretended like I wasn’t standing here … they didn’t have my order ready so I came back 10min later all for them to ignore me and not have my coffee ready

I’m in Pittsburgh for work this week and Rock ‘n’ Joe’s was the 4th local coffee shop I tried. It was also the only good coffee I’ve gotten! It has unique syrups and the best atmosphere as well. I definitely plan to go again before I head back home

Drinks were pretty good, lots of options on the menu, even for non-coffee drinks. The scone and sandwich were tasty and they offer to warm it up for you. Service was excellent and nice atmosphere. I bought some beans but they aren't very flavorful and the roast date was two months ago
