Have reservations for a party of eight, but they say you can’t do separate checks. But they accept 2 forms of payment. so why would I want to go with eight people and have to force two people to pay for eight peoples meals? That kind of ruins it for everybody involved m. I have to collect cash from half of my party to pay for the other half of the party. I think this is ridiculous and should definitely be fixed. it’s a shame because I am taking six other people that have never been before. Bad first experience.

As a steakhouse, Ruth Chris upholds its promise to deliver melt-in-your-mouth and well seasoned steaks. We have been on a steakhouse journey throughout Pittsburgh and this place is up there as one of our favorites. Service was very attentive and always checking in on us. To start, we shared crab cakes and Ruth Chris salad which were already winners. The steaks, both filets, were done to our liking and stayed warm until the last bite. As a side, we opted for sautéed spinach with garlic which paired really well with the steaks. We were full but decided to round out our meals with desserts - so we each got the cheesecake and chocolate sinful cake. While they were delectable, we wished that we shared since they were both so luxurious. We made sure not to leave any crumbs on the plate. For me, Ruth Chris brought the ambience, the service and a great meal all-in-one.Tip: get your parking validated not only for the duration of your time spent at the restaurant but the rest of the night!

I was really looking forward to having dinner at Ruth's Chris to celebrate a special birthday. We were seated at a table in the corner, which was really nice and private. The waiter greeted us, he was very friendly and personable. He took our drink order, followed by our appetizer and dinner order. Shortly afterwards a table of 5 was seated next to us. Once the waiter returned with their drinks, he began to let them know of the specials for the evening. I was upset to find out that there were specials that evening, we were never informed. I was really disappointed, I would have ordered from the specials list. (French onion soup, Lyonnaise potatoes) I was also disappointed in the dessert menu, very few selections. Needless to say, I did not order dessert. The ambiance was also lacking. Other than the salt and pepper, no decor was on the table. A candle on the table would have been a nice touch and would have brightened up the room. At least he food was delicious.

Great experience we went for my birthday and was an amazing time best server my dad order steak and shrimp and they forgot but our server Russel was very attentive and constantly checked in with us and gave us desert on him for his mistake highly recommend great service and amazing food

Had a party of 22 barely any servers. 3000$ bill 1000$ was basically the tip they chose. Service sucked only got 1 drink a soda and was nvr asked for a refill or if we needed anything. Food was decent
The quality of the New York Strip wasn't up to par. We usually have a wonderful meal here. Service could have been better. Waited a while for our server to check on us and get more drinks.

The manager, Jimmy was outstanding. All my questions I had and he helped me everytimre. Greeting me when we walked in. Made you feel at home. The waitress and assistants were great as well. The food top it all off. Thank you

Top notch restaurant. Excellent service. Have their system down to a science. Did have to wait 30 minutes for our reservation, which wasn't great. But, the food is delicious and their staff does a great job.

Have been disappointed previously with the food and service. Decided to give it another go tonight and it was consistently disappointing. For example: filet ordered medium - served rare. Pork chop ordered medium well - served medium at best. Water glass empty. No refills on iced tea. Server disappeared after the food was served. Manager cleared the table. For over $200 for 3 ppl I expect better. Will not be back.
Pricey but worth it.
