Stopped here prior to a Penguins game for a lunch…the food was hot and fresh. Do not miss out on the kielbasa patter! Pierogis were the best!

My favorite stop when I visit the strip, although I may be biased because I am Polish! They offer a variety of pierogis and kielbasa, as well as polish candy, canned/jarred goods and a large variety of tea. I picked up some sauerkraut today, next time I would like to try some of the candy they sell as it looks very neat! You can also get a bite to eat from their deli and they have some seating in the back.

Located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Strip District S&D Polish Deli is a staple for authentic Polish groceries and hot comfort food. Whether you are looking for a quick lunch or stocking up on imported goods it remains one of the city's most beloved cultural gems. You have to try the perogies here they are fantastic!

Don't bother going in or attempt to have any kind of positive experience if the hue of your skin is darker than alabaster. They will be rude and refuse to help you despite treating other people in store fabulously.

Came for some staple polish ingredients got all of it except for the thin kabanos. Selection was surprisingly low and prices were high. For example Alexandra’s “ears” are $15 here. Coming from Chicago I paid $8-10 for the same box.

Don't get me wrong, this place has good food. But the low rating is for their frozen perogies. The instructions say to boil them and as soon as they touch the water they fall apart immediately

I ate at four polish restaurants on this trip in Pittsburgh, and enjoyed the kielbasa the most here vs at all of those other places. It was well seasoned, and delicious and not just boiled but grilled or cooked on the stove/roasted or etc. The perioges and grilled onions were pretty good. The halushki was a tiny bit bland, overall the food was good as a whole. I think my least favorite was the sauerkraut, even though I ended up eating all of it, it was pretty salty and more tangy than I'm used to. I love sauerkraut, and this was the first time I felt it was too salty.

I noticed the lady who helped us with our order was very blasé about everything we asked or talked about which was a little funny and odd. She was nice and polite just seemed disinterested.

Overall it was a neat little place to go to and try more polish food, look through the shop, and enjoy some food with good company. We ate outside on the street and finished everything. I was really looking forward to the stuffed cabbage, but it was not available to us when we arrived earlier in the day. I'll come back and try them next time I'm in town.

We come here regularly and we *only* ever come here by bike , but the owners are opposing traffic calming and bike lanes on Penn Ave. I'm not coming back until they drop their opposition.

Best pierogies I’ve ever had! They were so good I didn’t even take a picture before I ate them all. Great kielbasa too. Highly recommend!

Nothing really that bad or great here. The food was ok, nothing really stood out. I know freezing items are a necessary evil, but it really takes away something flavor wise, to cuisine such as this. I would still recommend though.

Went in for their famous pierogis. It’s a self serve grab and go supermarket.
Got their potato’s & spinach pierogi. Taste was very average for the price charged.
