I ordered the Lasagna pizza. I'm from NY and consider myself a pizza snob. The crust is spot on. The sauce the cheese to toppings ratio is perfect. Sals has my seal of approval when it comes to a NY style pizza.
No negativity in this comment, just the truth. Looked like Sbarros style, and I got excited. The ceiling was gross, whole place was pretty gross but sometimes that means the food is gonna be great. As I mentioned it looked great, and then I took a bite .. it was like eating air. I got a slice of pepperoni n a slice of ricotta, both had no taste at all. The cheese, the toppings , all bland , the most bland food ive ever tried , And I'm not sure why why but there was no sauce on any of it. Took a couple bites of each and then I threw them in the trash can outside.
