Our son and his bride had their rehearsal dinner 12/12 and it was a wonderful experience. The food was perfection, the service was excellent. We like the family style serving and the pace of the courses.Warm homemade chocolate chip cookie for dessert was just right! We will go again and tell all our friends

Dietary restrictions: They were able to make the pesto without using pine nuts, which someone in the party was allergic to so they really made sure every dietary need was met

This continues to be one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh. The owner, Don, and his staff are incredible. The atmosphere, cocktails, and food are just the absolute best and in such a unique part of the city in Troy Hill. Do yourself a favor and go - whether it's a reservation with friends at a table or enjoying one of their smash burgers at the bar, you can't go wrong! Even for breakfast they have coffee, donuts, etc. It's the perfect spot.

They have listed a lot of items online but they have only limited items in breakfast. We booked the table on call. On arrival, they told us that it would take 20-30 minutes to serve the food. They could have mentioned this on call. Not have much option for vegetarian or in chicken or even in eggs.

Went there for brunch today (11/10/24). Food was good but service was lacking. Started out fine, waiter took our coffee order. Came back shortly after to say that person making coffee drinks just got slammed so it would be a few minutes for our drinks. Thanks for the update we will just put our food order in right. Nope waiter left the table without offering take food order or giving us a chance to say excuse me we are ready to order. Didn’t see the waiter again until he came to drop our coffees about 20 minutes after we initially order them. I’ll give him some credit he apologized for the delay but to not take our food orders while we waited was certainly a choice. So we get the order in and ask for the bagels and apple focaccia to be brought as soon as ready. Shortly after the waiter comes over to apologize that now the kitchen is slammed and our food will be a while. Unfortunate but I get it, he has no control over the kitchen and we appreciate him letting us know. Except now about 30 minutes passed and no sign of the waiter. Finally a food runner brings out the bagels my wife and daughter ordered. Still no sign of the waiter. Finally flag him down to see what’s going on with the rest of the order and says food should be out shortly. Now 40 minutes after we placed the food order the rest of the food comes out. Not sure what temp the apple focaccia was supposed to be served but came out cold as did my bacon (only reason food rated 3/5). Again I get that the waiter can’t control how the kitchen operates but have dinned at other places when slammed and had far better communication from wait staff. A couple of check ins here and there would have gone a long way. To top it off when my wife went to the restroom after we had finished she overheard our waiter saying something along the lines of “I don’t understand, they ONLY waited 40 minutes for their food.” Not certain it was about our table but highly coincidental.

Excellent food and very attentive service. Everything on the menu looked appealing. The chef clearly takes his time to make sure the food is fresh and of the highest quality, and presented very well.

Great dinner with wonderful service. Andy guided us through our meal with such a deft hand. Highly suggest getting the dealer's choice cocktail. My husband gave them his spirit of choice and had one of the best cocktails he has ever had. Our group of four shared several plates. All three appetizers were outstanding. The beets were amazing, the focaccia was delicious. Don't skip the burssels sprouts or the squash soup. And for heaven's sake save room for the best chocolate chip cookies we all agreed were the best we had ever had. A cool place that we will certainly visit again when in Pittsburgh.

Came here for Sunday brunch and got some really pleasant service from the bartender. One of the best espresso martinis I’ve had in a long time (they use egg white!! :))!!! Food was well executed.

I rarely write reviews but this is easily my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. My third time here and it does not disappoint. The NY strip, meatloaf and trout were excellent, as well as the mushroom risotto. The rotating menu is unique and even the side dishes are delicious. Cute atmosphere and great service. Love the seasonal dishes as well. This is a must try!

Great neighborhood pub vibes but a little more elevated. Fair prices and great seasonal fare.

wife and i arrived here after struggling to find a sort of casual, friendly dining experience.

first, it is absolutely both. no need to dress to the heavens for this one. felt absolutely comfortable in my favorite old graphic tee, jeans, and boots (all clean of course).

upon entering, we were greeted by the coolest cucumber of a host. it felt sort of like walking into your best friend's house unannounced after using their hide-a-key rock.

we were promptly seated, provided water and menus, and left to look over the menu. our server arrived shortly after and we ordered focaccia and two glasses of pinot grigio.

for the main event, we ordered the ny strip (medium rare) and meatloaf. the ny strip was cooked exactly as ordered and served with the best smashed potatoes i've ever had. in fact, for a straight up steak, this was the best ny strip i've had. the wife ate their entire plate, so take that as a glowing review.

for dessert, brownie dough ice cream (so rich and delicious) with an espresso martini (so dangerous, so good) night cap.

as a newcomer to pittsburgh, i can only say good things.

give scratch and co a visit.

We hosted a bachelorette dinner for 13 this past weekend at Scratch and Co. It was an exceptional night! We could not have asked for more. Don was attentive and professional in suggesting the menu, with thoughtful consideration to the bride's dietary preferences. Holly, our dedicated server, was simply wonderful with a warm and professional demeanor. The food... well, everyone raved! Don even had a bowl of their delicious pickled green tomatoes on hand just for me (it was not in our menu selections), knowing how much I love them. I highly recommend this wonderful spot for special events. And I can't wait to return for my next dinner out. Thanks for making our night so memorable, Don and Holly! xxoo
