I moved away from Pittsburgh a couple years ago and I always regretted not trying Scratch & Co. I finally got a little reunion group together for brunch when I came back in town for a wedding, and I was blown away. The decor is charming, artful, and full of thoughtful antique restoration mixed with modern touches. The food was absolutely fantastic, I had the smash burger and also tried the bagel with schmear and shakshuka. So rare to find really good bagels in Pittsburgh and Scratch & Co. has them! I had an old fashioned donut as well which was also awesome. And the service was perfection as well. We had a great time, I can't wait to come back, I only wish I had made it more often before I left.

We love this unique spot. It’s close by to us, tucked in the middle of the admittedly random neighborhood of Troy hill. The vibe is the best part, It’s cozy and comfortable you feel like you’re at someone’s house almost. The way they constructed their booths is genius, it’s completely private when you’re in there. Recommend reserving one. Great date spot and just yummy no nonsense food. Classic dishes with just the right amount of fancy. Great, friendly service as well. Don’t overlook their breakfast/ brunch/coffee setup. Easily the best bagel in Pittsburgh btw (not many people know this).

Great place and great food. Had a great dinner here with friends. Enjoyed everything we had. Shared some small plates to start. Loved the beets and the olives. The mushroom miso soup they have right now is just a flavor bomb. Chicken, meatloaf, steak, all perfectly done. Add in wonderful desserts, and this place is a must visit.
