Stopped in for the first time at Secretos, and will definitely be back. Food was absolutely delicious and the portions were hearty. We tried a bunch of things and everything was great. A wonderful local Pittsburgh business to support.
The wife and I are always looking for a new place to try pretty much each week. I've been seeing so many reviews, we had to check the place out.I have to say, I agree with everyone else. The food is excellent ?.The menu is simple which I love and everything I've had I love and will be back for more.I've always wanted to try Mofongo, so that was a no brainer. I went with what others were raving about and got the Pernil?? I am not much of a pulled pork guy but this stuff is the bomb!!Can't wait to go back.They also have a large seating area.We played games while we waited and they were free.
I ordered takeout and it was fantastic. I look forward to trying more items in the future. The beef empanada was delicious, the pernil was tender. I’m not usually big on rice, but this rice and peas dish was so good I would eat it again. I loved the plantains. I got the sweet kind and the Mofongo was good but I think I should try the garlic sauce next time. The citrus mayo sauce was good, but I’d like to try the garlic. Overall filling and wonderful.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options

I have been wanting to come here for a couple years now and I'm so glad I finally made it. I came here for my birthday with 6 other friends and the spread was FANTASTIC. The Pernil pork, Carne Frita, and red beans sides were DELICIOUS. 10/10 from me. I really liked the Birria tacos too. Yuca fries and Mayokechu sauce is also a banger combo. I also really liked the yellow rice and peas. Folks it's pretty much ALL good. You can't go wrong ordering here.You get THREE sides with each entree so grab some friends and try it all out. You won't regret it at all.Just a heads up that Secretos is inside a common plaza like area. Enter where it says axe throwing and where there's a Puerto Rican flag. There's common seating and a separate bar for drinks.I'm definitely coming back to try the guisado and get more Pernil. Thank you guys very much for delicious food.
The food was great. I have no clue how anyone could say it’s bad. Me and my wife had to fight not to pull over on the way home. The fried pork was great and the pernil was great! I have no frame of mind to what “authentic” PR food is, but everything we had was great. Can’t wait to go back.

If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican or Spanish food look no further. The food is amazing and delicious. The pernil was furthest from dry and the rice & beans were delightful. The staff is the friendliest I have ever met. It’s hard to find food like this in Pittsburgh and I’m glad I found them.
