I've photographed a number of weddings at Heinz History Center and it's always one of my favorite venues. Their entire team are wonderful and do an incredible job. It's also central to downtown and SO many amazing photo locations. I highly recommend it!

Awesome, huge history museum with a big range of exhibits. Especially liked the exhibit on medical device development and the collection of family/community artifacts from Pittsburgh's different communities.

If you like fancy clothing, this is your exhibit. But if you want to know more about the contributions of thousands of working women from back in the day, you won't find it here. The Women in Pittsburgh exhibit seemed to have missed the mark on the role of women in healthcare and education. Traditional roles, yes, but remarkable in the contribution of women. Hospital schools of nursing like Presbyterian, West Penn and St. Francis were well known for graduating high quality nurses, not to mention the baccalaureate programs offered at local universities. Each school's distinctive nursing cap was worn with pride and would have been a better fit in a display case instead of another rich woman's dress. And what about Margaret McFarland and her contributions to early emotional needs and early education? What about Pittsburgh native Doris Benzenhoefer MD, who started her medical career working in the lab with Dr. Jonas Salk to develop that remarkable vaccine for polio? Just a thought.

I think this is one of the better history museums in the country.SO much information, I would plan on at least 4 hours.

I spent at least 2 and half hours in this museum, and I would have liked to have more time to explore this 5 floors museum. You'll learn a lot of Pittsburgh's history, like sports history, steel and glasses industries history, British-French war history, and of course, heinz history. There are also some more temporary expositions.

Incredible friggin museum. It’s been more than 10 years since I’ve been in this museum I still get lost thinking about the exhibition design. So freaking beautiful so many cool displays

This museum is amazing for all and is almost never ending. There are exhibits about sports, science, war, Heinz ketchup and more. There are lots of activities and new things to learn. I recommend staying for at least 2.5 hours, but recommend staying for more to see everything. But beware the place can feel like a maze, so check the floors carefully so you don’t miss something. Your pass also last for 2 days. I definitely checking it out.

Great exhibits and content, the layout leaves a little to be desired.

Kidsburgh area is tiny and dirty. Very few toy pieces left to play with. Advertised as much bigger and more fun for kids. Mister Rogers neighborhood exhibit is extremely small. Also advertised as bigger and cooler. The other exhibits had pieces missing and/or weren’t working properly. Overall expensive, dirty, and not worth the money.

Plan on a full day! The exhibits go on for what seem like miles. We spent 3 hours and didn't see everything. If you visit Pittsburgh it's a must!!!

Highly recommend this awesome one-stop shopping for what Pittsburgh was, is and forever will be. Philanthropy is alive and well in this wonderful city so rich with history.Absolutely beautiful inside, plenty of signage and Docents to help you along the way and completely worth the modest admission to witness six floors creatively packed with rich history that reflects Pittsburgh’s contribution to the United States and beyond!
