Our party was two couples. I started with a well-made Manhattan cocktail, moved on to the tomato-fennel soup (decent, but not much different than tomato soup) and arancini (excellent); then rigatoni putanesca (not very warm and only so so) with a nice glass of Sangiovese; ended with a good cup of coffee. My date went for the salmon and th eother couple chose the short rib and a pasta of some kind. Those three very much liked their dinners. With tip, my bill was about $150.
We love the restaurant, and this is the first time that the service was super slow. the waitress was lovely, but the kitchen must have been super backed up there was a large private party that took most of the attention.
We cane to visit our son during Pitt parents weekend and were looking dor some dinner option further from campus. It was absolutely wonderful! Food was amazing, authentic, tasty. We had pasta and gnocchi, perfect! Deserts excellent too, great coffee. Service was outstanding, ambiance very pleasant. All in all, outstanding experience. For people who are not familiar with Pittsburgh areas, same as us, whole area is very nice.
