A great hidden spot, you might miss it driving past but once you come you’ll wonder why you haven’t tried it. Great seating, even more so now that they added a covered and heated exterior.

Pittsburgh rarely disappoints when it comes to Asian food. Senyai is no different. Visited Senyai for dinner with my family. The ambiance and staff are welcoming. We sat in the dining room, which is a cozy setting. We would like to try the patio seating next time. The food was really good. We ordered some dumplings, tom kha soup and fired calamari, which are our family favorites. Dumplings were good. However, the calamari was a bit overcooked. Kids liked their Pad Medamamuang. I ordered ped krob (thai spicy) and loved it. My wife ordered tom yum (thai spicy) and loved it as well. We loved the fact that the portion sizes are not too big. Overall it was good experience. We will definitely come back.

Senyai has some amazing Thai food. I really love their Pad Medmamuang. The crispy chicken in roasted chili sauce with cashews give it a superior taste. It’s absolutely delicious and if you like chicken, you should give it a shot. Their Grapow Kai Krop is also one of my favorite. I have tried grapow in other Thai restaurants but senyais just taste better. This time I tried their red curry with tofu. The tofu was so soft and delicious. The curry was okay. They also have the patio open which makes senyai one of the few places in Pittsburgh to allow outdoor seating even in winter. Overall, the place is cute. I recommend making reservations over weekend as it gets really busy.

We were sat at table A2 which was right by the big windows in the corner and it was lovely to be watching people walk by while eating Thai but of course if you don’t like people looking at you they do have tables away from the window. In terms of size it’s a smaller restaurant and reservations are highly recommended, we didn’t have one and got very lucky to get the table we had.In regards to the food it was excellent and nicely presented. I had the crab curry and very much enjoyed it. I have been to nearly every Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh and this place, along with one other, are the only places that offer this. The dumplings were very packed with meat and were more like Thai meatballs which is how my wife and I like them. The crab Rangoon was the absolute best I have had in Pittsburgh. The outside had an amazing crunch to it that quickly faded when consumed so it wasn’t sharp once in your mouth and the filling was amazing. The entire ambiance of the place was incredible and it was very clean as well. This place is now in my top 3 of Thai restaurants in Pittsburgh and I will definitely be coming back again.
