Wow! What happened? Are there new owners? This isn't Sesame Inn food. Oversauced and sticky. Everything has buried in the same stiky thick red sauce. No way this is the original owners. More like china buffet food. Never had king pao chicken breaded. What is hiding?
What a pleasant place. The food is much improved over previous location. The entire experience is very nice. Shout-out to Paul, the waiter for our table. Very efficient and capable.
Excellent, excellent!!!!!! The best Chinese food I've ever tasted!!!
100/100 for food ,service and atmosphere!! Portions are always just right! Great selection highly recommended every time!!!
Same great food and service. New location. Always enjoyed the old location but times change. Best broccoli and chicken w/garlic sauce in all the land.
Lunch specials are very tasty and quite large. Wasn't really hungry for dinner after that meal

Terrible service and food. Server never cleared the appetizer plates empty bottles or drink glasses. Fruit flies flying around table. No fried rice or Lomien, 5:15 reservation wouldn't expect to be out of items. Egg Roll lukewarm, dry and soggy. Beef in the Bride and. Groom chewy and coating was uncooked, biting into raw corn starch very unappetizing. Ordered Sesame noodles and menu did not specify they would be served cold. Amazing chicken lacked any spice. Portions were large but not very good.
$124 for 4 diners and none enjoyed the food.
Sesame Inn needs to do better. They are not the high end Chinese restaurant as in the past
I moved to the North hills recently from the south hills where I would frequent sesame inn Mt Lebanon, one of my favorite spots. I was really disappointed in the quality of food that I was in disbelief it was from sesame inn. Our chicken wasn't velveted like I'm used to, the sauces for orange chicken and general tso were underwhelming and the fried rice we got was rather spicy, my egg rolls were soaked in oil, our crab rangoons were good though.
I hate leaving a bad review, everyone has a bad night, I will try again and update my review.

A lot of recent reviews have suggested this place has dropped off, so I am updating my review to counter those. Visited the other day for dinner and everything was delicious. The crispy calamari was perfectly prepared and probably some of the best I've had. Everything else was well-prepared and good portions. Service was good considering how busy they were.

Let me start by saying the service and atmosphere are incredible. The egg rolls were absolutely delicious. But the general tso's we had was literally the worst Chinese food dish we have ever eaten in our entire lives. It was utterly inedible. The chicken was outrageously grisly and the general tso sauce tasted like very bland, completely unseasoned watery soy sauce. It was also very expensive. I would rather eaten dead rats in the parking lot than ever have this chicken again. It has literally become a family joke to say "okay it's bad but is it as bad as that chicken from that chinese place?!" Although the server was fantastic, the ambiance is excellent, and the egg rolls were to die for, the chicken was SO BAD that we will never, ever come back here.

The food used to be the best Chinese around. The last 2 times I’ve been there it’s been awful. The general tso’s tasted old and soggy. The time before that it tasted like old general tso’s in BBQ sauce. The service is great though.

Wonton soup looks nothing like customer pictures, has no large strips of pork, maybe a few pieces of micro shredded pork, and is very bland. I've never seen lettuce in wonton soup!

My son and I walked in and was what we thought being seated by a waiter well after following this guy through the restaurant he decided to stop and chat with 4 other patrons so I decided to seat myself then the guy came to where we decided to sit and was acting like he never did anything wrrong. Took 3 seconds for a older woman to come out and take our order she brought the food to us 3 separate times and mind you we only had 3 items nothing much at all then decided to shove the check in the way of my plate so I sat there kept eating next here comes 3 to go boxes mind you it's only been approximately 12 mins since we walked in total bullshit.... don't ever eat here I can see why their ratings dropped in Pittsburgh pa..

I have never been to sesame inn prior to today. I ordered 4 items for take out. The lobby and restaurant have a beautiful atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. However, the food was not great. It was piping hot and seemed fresh, but the chicken in all three dishes (chicken lo mein, orange chicken, and chicken with garlic sauce) seemed off. It was cooked to temperature but the texture was almost grainy and mushy. I don’t know how to describe it any other way. I was highly disappointed based on all of the good reviews I have heard for sesame inn. The Crab Rangoon and the egg rolls were good. The rest I would not go back for.
