Yummmm. Go! Had the oyster mushroom sandwich, macaroni and coconut rice bowl. Everything was delicious.

The food, service, ambience were perfect.

I had the oyster mushroom sandwich. I felt like they could have added more mushroom because the bun is very thick but it was still delicious. The plantains I could tell were a bit old however. The portion sizes are also a bit small. The sorrel drink I had was on point though. I definitely recommend this place I just think there's opportunity to improve.

I searched Google looking for doubles, the same ones I get in Brooklyn and came across this Gem! I went in today hoping to fulfill my craving for doubles but unfortunately they’re only sold on the weekends. My second choice were oyster wangz but there wasn’t any today. End up ordering the bowl (with coconut rice stewed soya, okra and chickpeas) fried oyster mushroom sandwich, sorrel wine, tamarind ginger drink and a vegan chocolate chip cookie! My total was $41 which I felt was a great price! I was displeased with the sandwich bc it was overcooked and the small amount of sorrel wine. The taste eas not that great for me but it may be for someone else. The tamarind ginger drink vegan cookie and stewed soya was so so delicious!! I will come back to try the doubles and roti! I appreciated the cleanliness of the small restaurant and the presentation of the food!

The BEST food out of our entire vacation to Pittsburgh!! This place is such a vibe! Beautiful inside with plants, natural light & fun decor! We got the most amazing food here! While visiting Pittsburgh, we learned of this all vegan spot & HAD to try it! We’ve never had Trini food so we were eager to try - and it was amazing! What we got:Oyster mushroom wings- super crispy! They were battered to perfection! Dipped in the tamarind sauce just elevated the flavor!Mac n cheese- Hands down the best vegan Mac n cheese I’ve ever had! It was baked to perfection with a nice crispy top with gooey melted cheese inside. Flavor was on point!Plantains- Never had baked plantains and they were SO good! Super soft, somewhat sweet with the perfect flavor profile! So yummy! The vibe here is amazing. The food is super fresh, colorful & full of love. You can tell they put a lot of care into quality, delicious food for you! Wish we lived close because we would come here OFTEN! Come here for some of the best food you will EVER feast on!

I came across this vegan restaurant and was excited to try some Caribbean food at an all vegan restaurant, butIt was not flavorful like jamaican food. It was spicy, so if you like that there macaroni pie has a kick, but there’s protein substitute lacked true flavor and spice and the heat of the dish did not make up for it either. They have a nice cheerful decor. The one lady in the front was helpful and briefly the other two younger ones stayed on their phones even as I was trying to ask questions about the menu, they weren’t helpful nor did they engage.I’m leaving an honest review because Jamaican food while better known doesn’t have to be the only player in the field. They have an interesting and typical ( for trinidad) menu, I was just disappointed with service and cuisine.

The waif of air gently passing by my nostrils as I walked to my aunties place, stayed with me during my visit, so inviting was the aroma, I found my self being pulled by the irresistible aroma of fried mushrooms emanating from Shadobeni, I was compelled to go inside and taste from where this aroma flowed so gently on the breeze. Disappointed I was not! I had been led to a place of heaven sent to my starving vegan needing body, a food place for now and forever!

So glad I stopped in here. The dining room was tiny. Everything was real clean. The food came out in just a few minutes. Delicious, beautifully plated food and I'm normally not into vegan.

My girlfriend and I both loved this restaurant. The place was run by only two employees, but they did a wonderful job. Our food was amazing and the service was top notch. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Pittsburgh.
