We went here for a 21st birthday. Food and drinks were good. We had fun playing duck pin bowling, but BEWARE when you get your bill!!!! Our waiter was great all night but when it came time to pay the bills and people were questioning the total, we got no explanation/clarification. The handheld POS system they use is CONFUSING, basically automatically picking 22% tip and not showing an actual receipt so you know your real total. I guess they just hope you don't pay attention or have had enough drinks that you don't say anything. Our group had said we wanted to go back, but the whole situation with the bill left a bad taste in our mouth.

Fun place!! The food is adequate and kind of expected. It is not a place you visit for top notch food. The wait staff is very understaffed. Difficult to get service. The music, games and duck pin alleys are awesome.
Kid-friendliness: Our five year old granddaughter had a blast!!

I found the food to be expensive and very mediocre quality. The drinks were just fine. Bowling is very expensive and there aren’t enough games other than bowling to justify returning. Pins Mechanical Co., also in Pittsburgh, is a far superior example of this type of entertainment venue.

We had a taco bar, and it was... weird. no salsa, and the mashed sweet potatoes/brussels sprouts/corn just felt like it didn't belong. I ordered a steak salad for myself and it was okay. The atmosphere was so much fun, the duck pin bowling was a blast and the drinks were great. our server was very attentive!

I enjoyed my experience at Shorty's. I was greeted the moment I entered by Austin. Who made the experience enjoyable. I would like to also make a shout out to Kayla, who was quick to answer questions and had a wonderful personality. Both of these people made me want to return. I haven't had service politeness like that in ages.
