We love this place. The Exec Chef is very inventive, and we love the unusual ingredients we can't find anywhere else. Had the chicken liver pate to start, just delicious, and a side of chili hollendaise was to die for! The nettle soup was subtle but very delicious and different. Then, the lamb which was simply perfect, but better yet accompanied by the oh-so-satisfying Grumolo leaves salad, and the pea and squash purees, the Jerusalem Arthichokes (wow). All just SO inventive, SO tasty. And wines were great pairings, including the Bodegas Spanish sparkling rose, which we always love. All in all, it's just an inventive and thoughtful menu, always lots of layers of great flavor, perfectly prepared and paired. And, we love the waitstaff. Kristen S was utterly spot on, gracious, warm; and later, the bartender explained the history of many of the adventurous cocktails, some of which we tried and enjoyed! Great job as usual.
My wife and I wanted to have a light meal, but still have the best Ice Cream dish in Pittsburgh to finish. We had the seared Yellow Fin Tuna to start, and I had the early Sprin Salad which was amazing and my wife had the Cabbage entree for the second time in a row. Excellent wines and service.
We had a wonderful meal at Siempre Algo after a concert at MCG. We love eating at the bar and talking with Kimber--she's the best. Chef Bryan added two new menu items that were delicious. The Pork Tenderloin entree was so flavorful with incredibly tender pork served with Collard Rabe, crunchy potatoes and a very creative "hollandaise" with blood orange and a little chili. The Crab pasta was very delicate but flavorful with Dungeness crab, peas and prosciutto. Siempre Algo is a real gem!!
One of our top 5 restaurants in our decades of eating out! Inventive, unique, and well crafted cocktails to the Porchetta and Crab Trophie to the amazing Creme Brulee and affagato...All top notch! These chefs know what they are doing!!! Unfortunately, they aren't open on Sundays when we are normally in town otherwise we'd be here monthly!

If you want amazing food, unparalleled cocktails, (Thanks Kimber!) and an intimate setting, there is no better spot in Pittsburgh than Siempre Algo. As a self professed and experienced ‘foodies' we keep going back. And it's better each time.
We had a great meal at Siempre Algo- complimentary drinks on seating, amuse bouche and a great view from the "chef's table" (table closest to window). Chips and caviar to start. We had the Reuben Tartine which was incredible, every ingredient was thoughtful and well done. Nettle soup was perfect on a chilly night followed by crab pasta and porchetta. The music and ambiance are really good, service was top notch and the food was really exceptional. In an age where there is lots of decent food in pretty standard menus, this chef is working to stand out from the pack. The desserts also looked great but we were too stuffed to try, next time.
My wife and I made a quick return to the great Siempre Algo. Splurged on the Chicken Liver Pate and Pork Rillettes with the house made baguette! The seared Tuna was amazing. I had the new Lamb Loin Dish, and it was perfection. My wife had the Cabbage entree which was amazingly flavorful. perfect ending was the Vanilla, Bourbon, Sea Salt Ice Cream with delicious Shortbread Cookie. Great wines and excellent service.
We enjoyed our experience from the minute we entered the restaurant. Our server was gracious and accommodating. We were offered complimentary champagne to start off the evening. The Old Fashioned cocktail was fantastic. Our entrees were perfectly prepared, one Salmon, one Beef - flavorful and nicely presented with complimentary sides. Skipped dessert this time, but we will definitely be returning! Lovely evening!
My husband and I dined here this evening for his birthday and what a wonderful experience it was. Kristen was our server and she was so kind and gracious. The food was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful night!
