Apparently the AC is broken in this building, so if you eat, you will swelter like a pig on a farm in the middle of august

Have eaten on the first floor (meatballs and drinks) have always had a positive experience. Have had drinks on the rooftop, never before had a negative experience, although they close very early. This evening we made reservations for a larger group (20) a week in advance…when we arrived (only 17 in our party) on time for our reservation the 2nd floor we were greeted politely, yet they were unprepared because “they didn’t read the notes” - we were immediately seated. Service from management and our new server Tyler including the food was outstanding - cannot compliment them all enough. At 2035 hours I asked for the check, and all but 3 of our party went upstairs to enjoy the rooftop and have 1 drink before last call (2100 hours). I received the check at 2039 hours, immediately provided my card for payment - it was returned at 2050 hours (I had one question that I needed confirmed, the tab states “service charge 20%” and I just wanted to confirm this was a automatically assigned tip and Tyler would be in receipt). I immediately signed and the 3 remaining demon my party went to the first floor elevator to access the 3rd floor. The elevator would not travel and an employee inside advised “since it’s last call it is locked and won’t travel to the third floor”. When I exited I pointed out to the same employee / first floor manager that I just spent $1,200.00 and all we wanted was to go upstairs and have the drink our advanced party upstairs had ordered and were served.

After an incredibly inappropriate exchange, the three of us exited to the sidewalk and we phoned our party upstairs. Our party upstairs advised they too were rudely treated, paid for three drinks they weren’t in fact served (they were waiting on us to come upstairs.

Reviewer local to Pittsburgh and brought out of town traveling colleagues to enjoy, but will NEVER return due to this experience. Very unfortunate that my colleagues experienced this, as I reminded them this is not the essence of Pittsburgh culture.

Friendly attentive service but the food was not good at all. The minestrone soup was very salty. The bruschetta appetizer was ok. For the chicken pesto bowl, the chicken meatball was good but the pasta and pesto had no flavor. The meatball sandwich was soggy and the meatballs were hard and not fully cooked. I had a salad with a meatball on the side and the meatball had such a hard texture and weird flavor after one bite I couldn’t eat anymore. This place was so disappointing.

I agree that the food is good. Unfortunately that's where it ends because the service is terrible. They obviously have a hard time keeping up over the multiple times that I have dined here. The cocktail took forever, the staff was uninterested, and the wait for food is long. On a recent occassion we went early, well before the dinner crowd, but were turned away due to no reservations even though there might have been 8 people in the whole restaurant. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere and leaving this for the cultured college students.

It gets really hot up there, especially when they close the roof

Portions are extremely small. Food is not freshly made . My stuffed shells ( 3 ) were cold in the middle indicating it was previously frozen. Very over priced, hostess has an attitude and very off putting energy. Roof top is cute but hot .. drinks are expensive but did have a punch.

There was a leak because of the rain so we sat on the 1st floor. Atmosphere and decor wasn't what I expected but it was ok. Our waiter who never gave us his name was great and very personable so we overlooked not knowing his name. It was very busy. I had the matcha coloda, and it was delicious.

The food was the problem. The fried calamari was soft and greasy but ok. We ordered the same bowl but with different pasta. It was greasy, and the meat sauce wasn't actually sauce. It was just ground beef. So, having greasy ground beef with our meatballs was disappointing. The Cesar salad was very Red Lobster like.

Would I return? Yes, to experience the rooftop for drinks. I wouldn't order food though.

I was here last night with a group of 14 for dinner. Our food took over 2 hours to get to our table. Hardly saw our server and had to go to the bar twice to order drinks. Then they refused to split the checks up (as initially requested) per couple. One person had to pay for all 14 people and we were stuck reimbursing the person who paid. The explanation given to us made no sense whatsoever. They obviously mishandled the ordering by everyone and didn’t want to bother fixing it. The service was horrendous and when it was addressed, we were basically just told to deal with it. This place is a total no go in the future. I recommend going anywhere in the city but this place.

Came here for the roof top xmas bar. The line was from the back of the building to the door. We asked people coming down if it was packed. They said no it's just the elevator that takes too long. There is no stairwell to this bar which is a fire hazard being that its at the top of a 3 story building and a complete inconvenience standing in line for a slow elevator. We left.

This place having ratings above 4 is extremely suspicious. My wife recently went there for a work event and said the food and overall vibe was terrible. I should’ve listened when she told me not to bother.

I visited this restaurant recently and I was like the only one there. Even still, I simply could not get the bartender to serve me at Tetto. They weren’t even busy. I eventually just gave up and left. It was a very bizarre interaction. I was literally awkwardly standing at the bar, essentially completely alone, for like 20 minutes and just wasn’t served.

The whole place just gave me really weird and bad vibes overall.
