The Silk Elephant restaurant in Shadyside was a fantastic place to take the family on a Saturday evening! We had excellent drinks, the Thai cuisine was scrumptious and the service was prompt, friendly, and helpful! We will be back!!
Used to love them but the quality has gone down in recent months. Their noodle entrees are just kind of bland especially for their higher prices and light amount of protein (though the curries are still tasty), and their chicken can be a little woody, which is why I don’t get their chicken satay anymore.
Staff is always great though, and I would highly recommend their fresh rolls and rack of lamb tapas.

Not sure why it has a low rating. Only few restaurants in Pittsburgh that are truly “WOW”. Prices are very good for what you get. They also have the best shrimps in town, the kind of shrimps that literally pops in your mouth.
