Ordered delivery from this restaurant. I travel for business, so expected another average meal. About one minute after I ordered, they phoned & said they didn't have one of my items, & offered a substation or cancellation. I was impressed by their promptness. The food was delivered hot, no need to reheat it. One of the best delivered meals I've had. All of the food was good. The Mac & cheese & cornbread were exceptional. I also liked the variety, including red beans & rice. I even phoned them afterwards to tell them how much I enjoyed by he meal. They were very thankful.

The food is always delicious and never over seasoned. Customer service is great. Although it's small in size, the variety of good food is plentiful. Makes you fall in love with vegetables, especially their cabbage. Try it, you will keep going back.

Let me tell u if u haven't gone ur missing the best meal ever...and my child walked thru heaven as she ate the Oreo cheesecake...then if u need a scratch ticket or two and a beer for him they have it...treat the family they deserve it meals are big enuf for two kids truthfully!!!!

We were hungry for fish and have passed by this place a couple times. I am soooo glad we went and will be back again. It's a mom and pop shop. The woman who is the chef was serving the food for takeout. My husband and I both got the cod fillet dinner that comes with two sides. I added on two more sides to try out everything that smelled so amazing! Everything was on point. The fish fillet is bigger than my face, her breading is crispy, and it is well seasoned. The black eyed peas come with some smoked turkey in them and are also well seasoned. Her greens are a great texture and flavor. The potato salad, dear god, it is so good. Has some celery seed in it and is quite eggy, which I love. The cornbread is homemade and has the slightly dryer texture as opposed to the really moist cake like kind. It is slightly sweet and balanced out the savory flavors well. Then her Mac and cheese...it's so creamy. I tried my husband's cabbage and it also had great texture and flavor with nice big pieces of carrot as well. I have not had a chance to try the carrot cake, since I spent 40 minutes just savoring my meal, but I'm sure it is as excellent as it looks. My husband is seventh day and we asked if any of the sides had pork in them since he has food restrictions. She didn't bat an eye and was super accommodating. Cracked a joke that the only pork in her food was in the ribs and then gave us a quick rundown on what was in the rest to cover the bases without additional prompting. Such a pro! Sometimes people make us feel unwelcome or a bother if we try to check in on the food restrictions, so that goes a long way in my book. There are deff some vegetarian sides, maybe not a huge selection, but the food is so good I don't think it will hurt any. They also sell six packs and some single bottles and well as daiquiris. This place is a solid 10/10. Telling all my friends about it. It is totally worth a drive if you don't live as close as we do.

I had been craving fish and it hit the spot I felt like I was eating food I cooked at home. We had whiting, Mac and cheese and greens. Oh and that corn bread was moist. Was worth me going out my way
