The Robata is way overpriced for a small amount of food- 3 shrimp & rice. The meatballs weren't that great and it was very dry because only a drizzling of sauce was put over them and the bed of rice. The food at this restaurant was a lot better a few years ago.

4/5 food - portions are delicious, shareable, but a bit small.
5/5 atmosphere
4/5 service - service is grand, but it always takes 40 minutes to pay.
I’ve been here several times and highly recommend it. Just be certain you’re going for an experience, and not a meal.

Went a couple weeks ago before attending a show. Love the vibe, food and service. Our server was great 👍

The service was slow. Meals were delivered quickly but wait staff and drink orders were slow

Pleasantly surprised by Social House 7! Atmosphere much cooler than I expected- dark and purple lighting, cool intimate cubbies to sit in in the back, front of the restaurant open to air it was beautiful out- although that does allow bugs to fly in). Our server was great! Very friendly, good service, and gave us an extra roll on the house.

We ordered vegetable gyoza, a vegetable noodle dish, the Godzilla roll, Crazy Salmon roll, tunarashi, and veggie roll. Ordered a bottle of cab sauv and another person had vodka on the rocks. The Godzilla and Crazy Salmon rolls were very unique and delicious with a smoky flavor, and one almost tasted like a cheeseburger or steak!

While the decor of this restaurant was lovely the noise was too much. We were excited to experience their menu and we ordered their favorites on the menu and they were over cooked and dry. Our server was great once he came to our table but I believe with all he had to explain to tables about the menu left him little time to serve through out the meal, he was great for the few times we saw him. They explain that our food will either all come out at once or in stages. Our appetizer came first which was fine and then my husband's entree came. After a long time my entree came because I think our server was too busy with other tables to serve my food. The food of this restaurant is unique but they need to cook it better. All of our food was over cooked.

Horrible service. Reservation at 5:15, waiting until 6:45 and only 1/8 of our dishes arrived. Sushi tasted stale, almost like store packed sushi. Not to mention, one of the rolls had crab shells in it…. Was scammed into this “family style” ordering system although the portion was super small. A family of roaches? Overall terrible and unacceptable. We had to leave and eat elsewhere. Cute aesthetic though. Giovanni’s pizza down the block is great though!

Definitely returning again! It is officially one of our top restaurants in Pittsburgh, for the taste, design, and fair price!

The chicken was tough and tasteless. Told the server with no results. Several people at my table had issues with their food as well.

Social House 7 is an absolute disgrace. The food is nothing more than overpriced, gentrified slop. Bland, uninspired, and completely devoid of anything resembling authentic Asian cuisine. It’s clear this place was designed to cater to people who have no clue what real Asian food should taste like. Every dish we ordered was either flavorless, poorly executed, or downright inedible. For the insane prices they charge, I expected at least a passable meal, but instead, we got overpriced garbage that wouldn’t even be acceptable at a mall food court.

The service was indifferent and inattentive, and to top it off, they automatically tacked on a 20% gratuity for our family of five, an absolute joke considering how little effort was put into even acknowledging our table.

The only thing this place has going for it is the “vibe,” but who cares about aesthetics when the food is this insulting? This is gentrification at its worst; watered-down, soulless imitations of Asian food sold at absurd prices to people who don’t know any better. Quite possible the WORSE place in Pittsburgh.
