Great find! Buy some bottles or some glasses or have a taste. It's byo food. They have a Chianti you can sip on, iykyk. The Vignaricco and Tazzelenghe were both good but I preferred the latter with a whisky vibe to it. Not a Chardonnay fan without a cream sauce dish but this was good. The Friulano was the best glass though! I'm so glad I found this place! Definitely worth stopping in.

We had a girls day of book shopping in Pittsburgh yesterday. This was right down the street (2 minutes) from White Whale Books and so we decided to stop in. The wine suggestions were amazing, the service could not have been better and our host recommended a little local pasta spot (Soul Pasta) which was amazing with wine. If you are trying to decide on a place to go - this is it. Stop searching, you have found the spot.

Incredible, what felt like world-class service imo. Some of the best interaction I've had with waitstaff. Me and my 2 friends had some samples which were graciously explained and provided by someone who knows their stuff, and then we happily settled on some wines. Got to learn a bit about Italy which was unexpected but welcome! Nothing but a good time here if you're with good company, without a doubt.Do know you can bring your own food, they don't serve any here besides some pistachios :)

Our experience from start to finish was incredible. I was in Pittsburgh with my sister and two friends celebrating a 50th birthday. We were greeted by Robin, one of the owners. She shared the story of how Spill came to fruition. What a great storyteller. She then told us about their wines and brought over three tastings. They don’t believe in charging for the tastings. What a pleasant surprise. We ordered a bottle of the Cabernet to share, which was absolutely incredible. While we enjoyed the bottle and chatted, she asked if we had dinner plans. We had not. She recommended a couple places she and her husband knew very well. They went out of there way to call the restaurants to get us a reservation. Her husband Jim came over and told us we had one at one of their favorite Italian restaurants. Wow, they did not have to go out of their way to do that and we were so grateful and appreciative. We also purchased 5 more bottles (seriously, it was sooo good!) I have to say that the Italian restaurant did not disappoint. Thank you Jim and Robin for your amazing hospitality. We cannot wait to come back!
