The food quality is decent but the portions are debatable for the price. The bread / roti is just a cheap cold half tortia - this is not done !!!
Most of all, the lady at the counter is very rude and has a lot of attitude. I’ve tried going there multiple times and it’s the same attitude that’s a put off.
She’s just not flexible even if you’re willing to pay for something, like she comes with blinders. Most of the items on the menu are basic and not worth the price being quoted.
I hope she changes her attitude and the place is a little more flexible with menu options.
Friendly, fast and very delicious!
A delicious, quick, and affordable lunch! Perfect for folks visiting for a conference only a short walk away from the conference center. I got the biryani lunch special. Everything was perfect 👌
Have been frequenting this place for veggie food for 20 years and have loved every single bite of every single meal. Its one of those places that once you think about maybe going....nothing else sounds or tastes good until you have gotten a trip to srees in. Unique and delicious hot sauce too. The woman who is the owner and cook knows her stuff and is very friendly. Just went for lunch two hours ago and am already excited to go back ^.^
I have been coming to Srees for about 20+ years. And the food has always been amazing. Lol, come to think about it, this food helped take a skinny 109 lbs dude to a healthy 185. They have always been kind to me, and I have never dropped any food. Even tho she still to this day tells me to be careful as I request extra gravy every time!!
I'm an old-school Sree's foodie. Tofu and veggies. Chicken meatballs old school. This place has and will always have a special place in my heart.
Delicious authentic food. The owner is always working and is very kind. There is a reason why Srees is so popular. Plus they have cling wrap and utensils ready to go so you can easily take the food to go.
The food is delicious, she has different dishes depending on the day of the week and many vegetarian options. I'm partial to the spicy chicken on Tuesday's and Thursday's but all of the sides and mains on the other days are very good. Super friendly service as well, I always love coming here for lunch when I am downtown.
I typically go on Monday or Friday for the tamarind chicken- all rice. Service and homemade sauces are amazing.

Delicious food, excellent service, and low prices. The place is simple and surprisingly wasn’t crowded. Minimal number of tables and very simple decoration, but the food was great.
Parking: You probably will pay more for your parking than for the meal.

It was an average place. The food is mediocre .. you would know if you’ve had authentic Indian food. The lady got mad when I asked her a few questions about her dishes. She’s like that’s not something you should be asking which I thought was RUDE. Excluding that part the place and food is just okay.

In downtown Pittsburgh it's the only halal food restaurant. In walking distance.
Dietary restrictions: It is run by Indian so don't know about it's meat.

wanted some filling and comforting indian food, and this was it. it was really difficult to find good vegetarian options around the area but this one is a great and reliable option to get some hearty lunch. we had masala potato, vegetable kofta, chickpea and potato and tomato dal. good quantities, delicious and affordable.
