The “cold brew” is definitely instant coffee, probably chicory. It’s fine for what it is, but it’s not cold brew! They should adjust the price down accordingly. That is my

I am one of the regular customer buying coffee everyday. However last 3 coffee were cold. One of them steamed but still was not good. I did not enjoy at all. They should not serve cold or old coffee and charge as fresh coffee. Your coffee is good when it is fresh and hot.

The outside and inside of the hotel are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The historic details of the hotel are beautiful. Our room was very nice-lots of space. The bathroom is smaller in comparison to the main areas but it is functional, clean and serves its purpose. The staff went above and beyond to make the extras happen for my boyfriend for our getaway. The location is great with the parking garage a short walk away. There is also a lot of sites you can get to with 20 minute or less walks. I would absolutely come back here 100%!

The old William Penn has a great future behind it. It was once a grand hotel, but has fallen on hard times. Was disappointed generally, but my specific gripe was air conditioning - which didn't work in our room. Pittsburgh ain't Phoenix, but it was hot -- too hot to sleep. They knocked $50 off our bill, but I would have rather had a good night's sleep, which, in the final analysis, is what a hotel is for.

I don’t understand all the good reviews. This place is so dated the furniture looks like it has not been updated in 30 years. Carpets are worn out and the bathroom is tiny and outdated. I get the historical part but you are allowed to renovate the inside. Outside of the fairmont it seems every hotel in Pittsburgh is old and tired looking.

This hotel was pretty much what I expected from a four-star hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but that's what you get from an older building. The rooms were clean and included a mini-fridge. The only thing we could find fault with was that the bar closed at 12:30 am. We had just returned from a concert and wanted to sit and calm down with a drink. It seems quite early to close on a Friday night. The bell-man, Doug, was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel was beautiful. We checked out the speak easy and we really enjoyed it. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in downtown Pittsburg. The staff were wonderful and very helpful and it’s with in walking distance to a lot of attractions.

I was here about 10 years ago and it still looks the same. The chandeliers are beautiful, but the hotel has lost its swanky vibe. The carpet is absolutely filthy and needs to be replaced. There are massive, visible stains all over. I was also charged $2.00 for a bottle of water. The front desk girl said that there was water in my room. She accused me of drinking the water that was complimentary. I didn’t drink the water because there was no water in my room. I now have to file a complaint with corporate because the manager wouldn’t help either. This is a bunch of drama all over being accused of consuming bottled water that was never in my room.

Two weeks in a row stayed at this property in the 9th floor. Terrible wifi. So bad I spent an hour an the phone with tech support trying to connect so I could get some work done. Nothing worked. The following week, different room but 9th floor again and terrible wifi. It does connect this week but no connection to the internet so it’s useless. Maybe if I come back in a year it will actually be functional. I doubt it since I asked when my room as again on the 9th floor and she responded that there had been no complaints about the wifi.

Lovely historic hotel with fabulous staff. The beds were comfortable and the room spotless. The staff were smiling and efficient at each encounter from the front desk, to the wait staff in the Terrace Room, to the hotel operator. We met some of the management team and they were as welcoming as the front line staff. Thank you for restoring and maintaining this beautiful historic hotel in Pittsburgh!

I was in Pittsburgh for the National Senior Games. We choose this hotel because of its close proximity to the convention center where we played. The staff was very friendly. The accommodations were what was disappointing. I would expect a four star hotel to have everything a cheaper hotel has and more. We had a double room with 4 people in it. There were 3 small drawers in the nightstand. That was it. The room had plenty of room for 2 dressers. They just didn't put them in the room. I love having to dig through a suitcase for an entire week. That's relaxing. There was a tiny refridgerator with no freezer compartment, no microwave, 1 luggage holder, 1 bathrobe, a huge closet that I used as a changing room, and a tiny bathroom. The only chair was a desk chair. Made you not want to be in you room unless you were sleeping. It was nice having restaurants on site, but they were quite expensive. There is a grab and go breakfast place on site where a yogurt and a sausage biscuit cost $18. It was a glorified McDonald's. No free parking was available. My truck wouldn't fit in the garage next door so I had to park 4 blocks away. No pool or hot tub either. Beautiful hotel, just not worth my money, even with the major discount.

We were celebrating something and the staff really went above and beyond like no one I’ve seen (room upgrade, champagne, balloons). This royal treatment alone gets them 5 stars. Otherwise a great location and plenty of bar options on site.
