Christine and Brittany are amazing. The food here is absolutely amazing. Best Reuben I have ever had in my life. Pierogis are the size of your hand and are the best I’ve ever had as well. Can’t say enough good things about this place. If I could come here more often I would. They even remember you 8 months apart from visits. Best hidden gem in Pittsburgh

This is my favorite restaurant in the entire country. I live in Kansas and have driven to Pittsburgh only to eat here. There is nothing like it anywhere else.

What a gem. Pierogies (and halusky) are delicious. The place was pretty empty but still a nice environment to enjoy classic Pittsburgh. Also a great brewery next door making Blawnox a great place to visit for an afternoon.
I grew up in the town of Blawnox and I have good memories of Starlite Lounge. Having moved away and being back in town I could not wait to go to Starlite and get the fish sandwich. I was shocked to see the state of the Lounge, extremely dirty floors that probably haven't been mopped in years ceiling vents and ceiling tiles water damaged and dirt hanging off the vent. Dirty booth tables and broken seats. We got our fish sandwiches that are still very good, the French fries were soggy and cooked in old oil. If you have fond memories of Starlite Lounge like I do, don't go back, it's a big let down.

The platter was amazing. Half pound pierogi's, haluski and kielbasa. The taste was ridiculous.

Killer pierogies
Classic diner atmosphere with dim lighting and a few locals only (on a weekday at lunch). Stuffed pepper soup came out first and was very good, just enough to hold us over. After ordering in a mostly-empty setting, I was a bit disappointed when the main food took 30+ minutes to come to the table from the kitchen, but that's when I realized why it took the time it did: the portions were absolutely enormous and piping hot. The pierogies are no ordinary pierogies; instead they're fist-sized pillows, stuffed with love and soaked in butter + onions. The fried chicken sandwich was enough for lunch and dinner, and the honey mustard was uniquely delicious. Prices for this sort of size and quality were shockingly good, and now I understand why it's a local (and DDD) legend.
