On the new year eve, it was raining outside and we went to have some coffee in this place since other coffee places were closed. The restaurant was not super busy, maybe they serve good food or there were less options available at that time. Tasting their coffee it is sure that they surely do not specialize in it. Whatsoever, one of my friends posted a one star negative review about their coffee and cold behaved service. After a while, all of a sudden the owner came to us and started shouting that if you don’t like the coffee, then why are you still sitting here? As mentioned earlier, it was raining outside we thought of sitting here a while and sip on the coffee which we paid for. But the owner was angry because of the negative review, he started yelling at us and was threatening to call police on us for the bad review!! We politely said if you want we can leave but he was still shouting and behaving bad with us. We left the premises still he came out and was arguing! Never in my life have I faced such behavior from a restaurant owner. He could politely just ask us what was the problem and ask for feedback to improve, rather he got angry!! He was shouting and saying I don’t want 2 dollar business from you (we were six people and all of us took coffee or tea and their coffee is surely not that cheap). Money can’t buy mannerisms, Probably it is their family business, i hope he works on his anger issues to run a smooth business and prosper more.

I really like their bakery items , my mom loved the Turkish coffee as well, made the original way! Glad they were open on NYE!
The worst coffee I have ever taken in Pittsburg 🫤. They were so unprofessional and busy that they forgotten to provide me the coffee grip.
After writing the review above-mentioned the owner came to me and charged why I wrote the review and He was so ferocious to control Himself. He asked us to leave his shop forcefully. Although 6 of us bought something from the shop be made us leave forcefully. I am adding a video of his behavior in this review.
Guys be careful his Disrespectful manner with customers and quality of coffees.

Coffee was the worst!
There is more, we were in the restaurant while writing this review. So after some time, the owner spotted us. He came to one of my friends, asked rudely why did you give the review. Then he said if it were that bad why are we still here! What a logic. We paid, we took his service so we deserved to sit in his place! We were six people and all of us ordered something. But he went on and on. His behaviour was utterly disrespectful and inexcusable.
I initially understood his frustration, after all it was NYE and he kept his shop open. We appreciate for that. But it doesn’t give him right for behaviour. I am now wondering whether he would have same approach if it were a native person.
(Yes we could have gone to counter and asked for another coffee, it was our mistake and I would retract the review too if his approach was nice enough).

Food was average. Had a high expectation for Turkish cuisine. Nothing specific about Turkish food in terms of taste and spice. Average middle eastern taste.

I came to eat döner and it was cold. The appetizer they put next to the döner was disgusting and not tasty at all. This is my second visit. I had tried the chicken before and it was not good at all. It upset my stomach. I do not recommend it. The soup is awful.

I planned on coming here first when I arrived in Pittsburgh for a graduation as I’ve heard the food was good . I only had time for the coffee and Baklava . I would’ve like my Baklava to be cooked maybe a min more . It was a bit done but I just like a little crunch. All in all the pistachio was very tasty. Not too sweet.

Never had turkish food before so asked the owner for recommendations, he couldn’t have been nicer and we LOVED everything!! started with hummus and spinach pie, then the Iskender, finished with pistachio baklava. DELICIOUS!! step out of your comfort zone and try this place! You won’t be disappointed.
