I have been here (McKnight location) to eat a number of times, and it’s always been a good experience! Today, my friends and I placed orders for pick up, and when we got there, they were BUSYYYY! Despite our large order, and their in-house craziness, our food was ready within, like, half an hour. There were so many other pick up orders ready and waiting to be retrieved, too. The staff was absolutely killing it, and all of our food was correct, and appropriate temperatures! Kudos to them, and thank you!! Can’t wait to dine with them again.

Sushi Tomo is an excellent spot for sushi just outside the city of Pittsburgh, and honestly one of the better finds in the area. The rolls were incredibly fresh and tasted fantastic — balanced, clean, and made with care. I also have to shout out the miso soup, which was the saltiest, yummiest bowl I’ve ever had in the best possible way. Service was another highlight. Our waitress was genuinely polite, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back, not just for more sushi but to try the rest of the menu as well. If you’re looking for quality sushi without going into the city, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

I’ve eaten inside the restaurant, have also picked up an order to take back to my hotel and have also had delivered to my hotel. This is by far the BEST Japanese Sushi restaurant in the greater Pittsburgh area. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, the Sushi Chefs are fantastic and the presentation is any way you choose. As you can see from my photos, I order sashimi style (one photo was a mistaken delivery of sushi, and the restaurant quickly sent a new order).
If it looks like a very large amount of sashimi, it’s because I do eat it all. The ingredients are the freshest I’ve had from any restaurant and they’re consistent. Prices are competitive and portion sizes are good. One photo is of a softshell crab “Spider Roll,” and once again, delicious! As for what I spent for my particular order, because it was all sashimi, where fatty salmon is more than just regular salmon, and a huge quantity, the cost wasn’t typical for the average customer. Yes, it was high vs a typical order, but very worth it!!
Worst sushi ever. Rice was not sushi rice. Everything was bad, including the soup and starters. Not sure how they have high rankings. It was really, really bad.

We order takeout from here all the time. The sushi is consistently delicious! I recently took my daughter to eat-in as a birthday treat. Our favorite roll is the Geisha roll, it has a little bit of everything. Staff was helpful and attentive. Highly recommend.

I had the Karaage Ramen at Sushi Tomo and it was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfect. Best part: they serve the karaage (fried chicken) on the side, so it stays perfectly crispy and delicious. Highly recommend!

It’s TOO good!! They have all the freshest seafood, and the best staff, so you can’t get it anywhere else! 😤🩷 We ordered the Midori Sour and Cherry Blossom Margarita to drink. To eat, we ordered the Pork Belly Bao Buns, Tuna Tartare, Geisha Roll (the lower roll pictured with the flakes), and the 412 Roll. Everything is hand-crafted to perfection. The atmosphere is fun, fresh, casual, and family approved! Some of my biggest take-aways were the quality of the products used in the dishes and how clean the restaurant is, as well as the practices of the staff. Five stars!

We had an amazing experience at Sushi Tomo! We tried the Firecracker Tuna, Beef Teriyaki, and Broccoli Chicken. We loved every single dish. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
Our waitress, Ali, was so friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. We felt very welcomed and taken care of the entire time.
We’ll definitely be coming back soon! Highly recommend Sushi Tomo to anyone looking for great food and great service.
I drove by this place many times without stopping but I'm glad I finally did. Got a huge portion of chicken katsu that was really good, and my son got some salmon rolls. Definitely going back.
