i came in on a tuesday with some girl friends and learned about the $5 margaritas and hand roll special. the server was so nice and helpful explaining everything and the food and margs were great! can’t be the price either! we’ll be back!

I normally don't comment or review but the food was so good, they deserve the credit. First off, our server Ashley was wonderful. She was friendly, efficient, and fast.We had sushi, fried dumplings, and General Tso chicken.The Sushi was fresh and was perfect.Their fried dumplings are the bomb. Perfectly crispy on outside, moist inside.Their General Tsos chicken was the best I've eaten anywhere. This was the first time it was seasoned perfectly. Not overly sweet, and it was spicy hot like it's supposed to be.Yeah, I know it's not a "traditional" Chines or Japanese dish....but I like it....and Sushi Tomo made it perfectly.Lastly we had their egg roll. It was quite large and excellent...and wasn't dripping of deep fried oil. Their Chines mustard didn't come from a plastic packet, that so many other restaurants serve. I received actual hot mustard,...the kind that makes your nose run..lol.We will definitely be going back, ....sooner than later. We came in with a party of 9 on short notice, (such a jerk move on our end but it was late and we were hungry and desperate), and not only was the food phenomenal but the service was top notch! The food was cooked perfectly, the sushi tasted fresh, and nobody had any complaints about their meal! We will definitely be visiting again in the future

Do you like sushi? Don't settle for mediocrity. Go to Tomo and have the best sushi in Pittsburgh.Don't like sushi? The gyoza, chicken katsu, and ramen are all bomb.Atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. Staff are kind and super helpful.

Tomo is my favorite sushi restaurant hands down- from their different fresh toros to the delicious ramens and their special dinners/classes, they bring all the flavor to the North Hills. They also have an impressive list of Japanese whiskeys and Saké! Their staff and chefs are always on point. (Try the Scallop Heaven Roll, yellowtail toro, and Tonkotsu Ramen-delicious)
