Overall, this place is way pricier than it should be and the service is very lackluster. It was hard to get the attention of any of the servers and when you did, they often forgot to bring what you asked for or they brought the wrong thing to the table.

Wow what tasty tacos! Tucked in Bakery Square this restaurant welcomes you in a vibrant yet comfortable atmosphere with a robot server buzzing around. Chips remind me of chipotle. Drinks were about 80% ice. Decent happy hour deals on food and drinks 4-6pm. Tacos had decent portion of protein and fresh flavors. Tortillas expertly cooked. Only issue was our server was a complete zombie I felt between we were an inconvenience to her or she was absolutely miserable to be there.

I used to love takö! We would go at least once a week when we lived in Bakery Square. Today the experience was not so great. We ordered to go and the food was improperly packaged. The chicken tortilla soups were in plastic containers that cannot withstand the heat of the food. They added the condiments to the soup instead of adding them on the side. Tacos were exceptional as always. We had fish, chicken, and beef. We ordered guacamole but it was missing. Everything else was great (papas bravas, verde rice, and beans). They’ve changed the desserts (churros/flan) and are good. I feel like they are not paying attention to what is placed in the bags and are poorly packaging the food. I am glad the plastic didn’t melt and the soups did not end up spilled all over the other items. Only because we live five minutes away…

Meh. 5 small dried out tacos and a couple drinks with pork rinds from a bag (those are NOT chicharrones!) for $100. No wonder why this place isn’t busy on a Friday. Total rip off.

I may have reviewed Tako Torta previously, but the thing is....they keep shifting their concept...so, I'll review it again. It used to be counter service. Then they started seating you and someone would bring your food. Now they are piloting robots...but the robots just bring the food close to your table and the server sets it on the table. But I'm not here for the robots...I'm here for the food!
I love this place. The food is almost as good as Tako, but I don't have to make a reservation 2 months in advance. If you go for lunch on a weekend, or an early dinner on weeknights then there is no wait. The tacos' are expensive, and honestly they sometimes put too much in them - but the taste is phenominal.
I'd prefer is they put less in the tacos and charged a little less...trust me I'll order enough that you won't lose money!!!
Fresh guacamole is great! Ceviche is great!
Wash it all down with a something from the bar or a mexican Coke - it's great.

Ok first the food, like omg it was indescribable, delectable, yummy! We tried the guacamole, queso, korean taco, and buffalo chicken taco. The flavors were exploding in our mouths, I can't wait to go back. 5 stars and Arnita our waitress was very attentive and helpful with suggestions since this was our first time there. We will be back!

Food was disappointing. We were very excited to come here but will not be returning. I ordered the taco salad. The meat was unseasoned, bland, greasy, and cold. The lettuce was starting to turn and had pink spotting on it. I had to switch meals with my partner. He had the chicken sandwich which was good. I mentioned my feelings to the server and nothing was done about it. Very expensive for what I received.

Recently visited on a Saturday evening. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, Restaurant was busy, but not crowded, and we got a table without a wait. Service was attentive, even the robot! Started with speciality cocktails, & chips and pico, For main dishes, we ordered 2 tacos, Baja fish and Carnitas, Elote, and the Mediterranean bowl. All of the food was fresh, well portioned, and very flavorful. For dessert, we had the Pumpkin Flan which was delicious. A great dinner all around! Highly recommend for the quality, value, and taste.
Vegetarian options: Had the Mediterranean bowl and chips with pico. Both were excellent. Pico was very fresh and the Mediterranean bowl was vey flavorful,
Parking: Outdoor spaces & 2 parking garages with plenty of open spaces. Garages on Weekdays offer 2 hours of free parking, Weekends 3 hours.

Love the concept. Food is not authentically Mexican— every dish has cumin and they can’t make it without cumin because the spices are all mixed together. This reveals that Taco Torta is essentially 2 steps more elevated than Taco Bell. If they had real Mexican recipes, used the correct spices, better quality cheese, and a creative chef— this place could make a splash in the foodie scene. As is, enjoy the bar and the guacamole.

Cool modern spot for tacos, tortas, and several other classics. Tortas are essentially Mexican sandwiches. They have a few options for those. But, I decided to try out some of their tacos and a dessert to see their baseline. I tried the classic chicken tacos and a tres leches.
First thing I noticed is this place is really quite expensive. A single taco can cost $7+. And they are huge tacos or anything like that, just regular size.
Now, the quality is pretty high. The chicken was nicely roasted and quite flavorful and tender. They used a nice amount of spice. The cheese they had was kind of plasticy and not my favorite, though. The tortilla itself was nice and thin, soaked up the sauce, and I enjoyed it.
The tres leches was also kind of disappointing. Small portion for the price. They also use a lot of blueberries, and that kind of masked the creamy, milky flavorful. Too overpowering. Wouldn’t really recommend.
All in all, an ok taco and torta place. They have some unique offerings, but the place is expensive and I don’t think the quality makes up for the price.
Vegetarian options: They do have a few vegetarian taco options, apps, and sandwiches
