I had the pot roast with gravy and mashed potatoes. The pot roast was mush like I was eating baby food.. Pureed consistency with a very off taste. I couldn’t eat it any longer and the waitress asked if I wanted it to go and explained my extreme displeasure . No way did I want to take it home. The waitress was very pleasant and took it to the back I assume to show the cook and toss it. She came back with the check and no sorry or explanation. Paid full price and will not recommend or go back.

A few weeks ago, a friend and I wanted to go out to eat, but we're both indecisive. He lives in Aspinwall, this was one of the closest places, so that made our decision for us. Please don't think that I am exaggerating when I say that the food was the best I have had anywhere ever, and I will remember it until my dying day! I'm not usually influenced by the specials, but the Cajun shrimp pasta sounded good, and that's what we both ordered. How can I put into mere words how phenomenally delicious it was? The spice level was absolutely impeccable, the shrimp were juicy and plentiful, the sauce was a perfect combination of buttery and creamy, the pasta an immaculate al dente . . . I had to use a thesaurus just now so as not to say "perfect" about five times! The service was exceedingly attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was decent. I got a typical draft beer, and that was what can be expected. I apologize for glossing over everything else, but the food was just the star of the show! The Cajun shrimp pasta was so good that I forgot what kind of soup I got--I think a tomato bisque?--but it was excellent as well, and my friend can also highly recommend the French onion soup. I cannot find this place a glowing enough review!

Neighborhood bar. Food was decent, pretty basic, but good. The server, Susan, was fantastic! The bar itself is nice, as I loved the old time pictures of Aspenwall. The fried Zucchini was excellent, and the tavern burger was good. The Reuben was mediocre.

Food was great. The sign out front, the owner, and the bartender weren't on the same page as far as drink specials go. Overall, good.

Was there Saturday evening with four friends. First time. This is a very welcoming and friendly place. The service was excellent both at the bar and at the table. We were very well taken care of. And everyone loved their food. The soup of the day was Wedding Soup. It was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu items that I couldn't decide on. Highly recommemded!

Parking: In addition to on-street metered parking, there is a metered lot across the street with lots of space. And it's cheap.
