They have clearly marked vegan baked goods.

Lovely bakery & cafe in upper Lawrenceville. The aesthetic inside is cute and cozy but has a unique feel to it with the long velvet curtains and dried flowers. The sweets are super tasty! I tried the cardamom rose cake and it was to die for. Will 100% be back.

Stopped on Easter, as we needed some sweets and not much open. The place was cool, service was great and the brownies and cookies were great!

Simply STUNNING & BEAUTIFUL bakery with the sweetest goodies. ? Seriously, so much thought has gone into this place decor wise- woah. Upon entering, you enter a magical land of dried florals, vintage pieces & the most delightful treats. We stopped in after hearing they offer some vegan choices along with their regular offerings. The dessert case itself was a work of art with dried florals, moss, & earthly touches. We got the vegan lavender mini cake which was amazing! I’ve never had a “floral” based dessert but was hesitant but it was SO good! The lavender frosting completed the super moist cake. The flowers on top made it extra beautiful! The frosting was not super sweet but perfectly balanced with the lavender notes that paired well.Staff was friendly! They helped show me all their vegan choices (which were clearly labeled as well!)Stop in here for just the vibes/decor alone and of course a sweet treat (vegan or regular!) You won’t be disappointed here.

Unfortunately, my experience at the Butterwood Bakery was subpar and left much to be desired. While the bakery had a charming and cozy ambiance, the quality of the food and service fell short of my expectations.I ordered a slice of cake, which was dry and lacked the rich, decadent flavor that I was hoping for. The texture was crumbly and the frosting was overly sweet, which was disappointing given the high expectations I had for the bakery's desserts. The service was also lackluster, with the staff seeming disinterested and unengaged. The wait time for my order was longer than expected, and I was not given any updates or apologies for the delay.Overall, I was disappointed with my experience at the Butterwood Bakery. While the ambiance was charming, the quality of the food and service fell short of my expectations. I would not recommend this bakery to those looking for exceptional baked goods and outstanding service.

One of the few cafes that’s open late in Pittsburgh. I enjoy coming here when I want to chat late and treat myself for a dessert. Their cakes, especially the earl grey cake, is really rich.

We absolutely loved our vegan wedding cake from The Butterwood Bake Consortium for our Summer 2023 wedding. The team at Butterwood Bake Consortium was kind and communicative. Our two-tiered orange olive oil cake with vanilla semi-naked buttercream was so delicious and the florals were the perfect touch for our wedding theme! I highly recommend for all your wedding cake needs!!!

Love this place so much the staff is so helpful and friendly. This spot has personality and atmosphere even waiting in line is enjoyable. Don’t get me started on the baked goods. Well balanced flavors play a sophisticated symphony on the palate. My favorite item I’ve had was the orange black sesame cake tdf!!! Also the sweetbread is a must!

Beautiful and delicious desserts, fantastic with communication and able to accommodate a modified pickup time.

Went in while waiting for a reservation elsewhere and me and my group found a true gem. I'm not really a coffee shop guy, but I had a fantastic experience. I loved the chai so much I ordered a second one. I got a Blondie as well and it was truly homemade like mama used to make. The ambiance of the place is just so inviting and relaxing I just felt at home. I have to come back some time just to vibe and try more sweets.

Discovered this hidden gem on a foodies group on Facebook. I Made a visit this evening and everything was delightful. I made my visit around 8:30pm and it was pretty full so I did take out. But I plan to visit after date nights and sit in. Glad to find this vegan treat!

I was thoroughly displeased with my experience here. What you was labeled a cookie was hardly palatable. Will not be recommending to any friends!!!!!
