I wish you would add omelettes or frittatas to the menu. Also pulled pork sandwiches would be a nice addition. Please bring back the cinnamon rolls. Thanks.
An excellent experience--good food, ambiance, immediate seating despite our arrival before our reservation --was diminished by having to wait a loooooong time to get our check. Did she forget us? Had to ask the host to find her for us, and we still had to wait.
I had a business lunch yesterday at the Carnegie Cafe, the service was excellent, food was good two of the salad selections that were delicious. Our server was johnny on the spot with getting us drinks and clearing our table.
Very interesting menu! Great service, excellent affogatto (ask for with chocolate ice cream!)

Nice Staffa me nice location but food was mediocre. I couldn't tell if the bred on my turkey club was toasted ( there was no color) or just stale but in any event was dry and tasteless. Barely any tomato or lettuce and the little lettuce they used was limp. Tomato wasn't even a slice and it was paper thin. French fries were cold and stale. Frittata on focaccia was bland and lacked any kind of seasoning
Amazing service by Megan! We chose seating outside which is very nice and not noisy at all. They have unique dishes, we enjoyed the vegetarian agnolotti pasta, chicken crepes and a very filling chocolate mousse.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the roasted chicken salad with a side of soup. Flavors were clean and well put together, though the portion felt on the lighter side. The space carried a bright, modern energy that made it an easy mid-day stop.

I would like to mention that my review is not about the food itself, but about communication.
This afternoon (8/14/2025), I visited a restaurant and ordered a beer and a burger (I had been driving all morning from NYC and was very hungry). I asked for the burger to be cooked medium. The one that arrived was burned and overcooked.
When I shared with the café manager that, if the burger was premade (which is usually why they come in a “well done” version), the server should have informed me—because, as everyone knows, the difference between half-cooked and fully cooked meat is significant—the manager assured me that the food is freshly prepared and that they only offer well-cooked burgers. This, however, was never communicated to me.
I can’t insist that the food is premade, but you can try it and judge for yourself.
The beer was great.
While we loved the atmosphere of sitting by the outdoor fountains, the food took 45 minutes once we ordered, to arrive. My chicken salad barely had any chicken in it, yet was $17!

Lovely ladies lunch .. excellent service. The salad was large but the salmon piece was small. The pasta dish was tasty, but a bit undercooked. All in all , a perfect spot for lunch after visiting the museum .
The Cafe Carnegie is a very pleasant place to have a meal. Our service from Meghan S was outstanding. Other staff pitched in to help. They were all courteous and accommodating. We both had the spicy chicken sandwich. It was ok. The hot, crispy fries accompanying the sandwich were very tasty. I had the nonalcoholic hot honey tonic to drink. I liked it, but beware, the ACV is strong! My husband had the hot honey mule, which he described as spicy. He enjoyed it. We finished with slices of almond torte. This version of the torte has a much subtler almond flavor than I'm used to. The buttercream icing is delicious! I don't recall the description of the torte listing a berry sauce. If it did, I missed it. I would've opted to have it on the side. It tasted good. It was just not what I expected. If I ordered the torte again, I would specifically request it without the sauce.
Stopped in the Cafe at Carnegie after my museum visit. They have a Cafe bar for quick bites and coffee, along with other beverages. They also have a lovely dining area. The menu has a variety of choices. I opted for a turkey club and it was delicious. My hubby had a falafel. Both had generous portions. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Check for hours of operation as hours vary.

A good mixture of cozy and modern. Food was delicious, and consisted of elevated classics with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Service was warm and welcoming, will definitely be back.
We each ordered the fried chicken sandwich. Reviews had raved about this dish. I like hot , but this was ridiculous. My lips were numb up to my nose. Service was OK. I had been here before and this time, it just didn't seem special. Felt it was overrated.
