We ordered a birthday cake here. It was a chocolate falavor. The taste was great and overall I was satisfied with the quality of the cake and the design. I recommend this place because I ate another cake from this place in another birthday party, it was a blueberry cake and it was also really delicious.

I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday before I left for vacation. I explained I needed it for August 11th. I was not told that The Cakery is closed on Mondays. I was only told to pick it up after 2. When I went to pick the cake up they were closed. The really troubling part is when I called about it, the owner refused to admit their mistake and blamed me for not being aware they are closed on Mondays. She even doubled down and said she told me when I ordered they were closed on Mondays! Monday was never mentioned. I only said the date. Terrible customer service!

I really wanted to like this place, just based off the good reviews I saw online. It was also close by and thus, more convenient than going down to Bellevue, where I normally go. We wanted to try a new bakery. I placed an order for a galaxy birthday cake for my sons 15th Birthday. The cake itself looked absolutely gorgeous. I had to grab it on Saturday for his birthday on Sunday because they are closed on Sundays. I did what the girl at the counter said, to refrigerate and take out 3hrs prior to cutting. The icing had a mint taste to it, when I specifically asked for vanilla buttercream. I thought it was just me at 1st, but everyone else who tried the cake said the exact same thing. It was really off putting and it tasted like I had just brushed my teeth, especially the lingering aftertaste. My son is a cake person and will make it known when he has a good cake. He didnt even finish the slice he had. I felt terrible for him, because it was his Birthday cake and I know he was looking forward to it. I have no idea why the icing had a mint flavor but it ruined the whole thing. Just disappointed because again, this place got great reviews. 🙁

So April is a birthday month for us , I ended ordering four cakes this month from the cakery and they were all delicious. We had a carrot cake , two chocolate cakes ( which vanilla only ppl ate ,they were that good) and a half and half cake with strawberry filling. The frosting is not super sweet and creamy , none of the cakes were ever dry, and decorations and writing were very well done.

I have to say everything was executed wonderfully. I needed this cake in a little less than 2 weeks. Response was within 48 hours and only because they were closed. I am bad with names but the owner called back and was very friendly. She received photos of my vision and gave opinions on what would work. The bakers and cake designers went above and beyond my expectations. It not only looked good but my goodness it was one of the best tasting birthday cakes I had. I am still receiving calls about the cake and where I got it from. I definitely will return!

I wanted so badly to give a very positive review but I have to say I’m pretty disappointed. I initially felt a little guilty because I put the order in on Tuesday for a Thursday pickup. I ordered a 6 inch round cake with lemon blueberry flavoring and buttercream icing. The icing was amazing, the best part of the cake. But when I bit into the cake, imagine my surprise when it tasted exactly like a sour warhead. The inside either looked underbaked or they added so much lemon that it changed the texture. Not to mention, the handwriting was all over the place. Two words were capitalized one wasn’t. (I added the bows myself)
