Our service at The commoner was excellent. From the host and food it was no but outstanding. We will be coming back.

I always love The Commoner! However, it appears that several of the brunch options have disappeared from the menu. Also I think the crispy potato recipe has changed, not as crispy. It's still a good place for brunch, however, it's no longer “great”.

I think their dinners are better. Brunch food was average. But for $30 you get a bottle of champagne and your choice of 2 juices to make your own mimosas which is fun and a great deal. It makes up for the good but not great Brunch food.

Limited menu. Very small portions. We don't mind paying those prices for good value and good food, however this was overpriced and the food underwhelming.

We had a wonderful dinner during Restaurant Week. The service and food was beyond are expectations. We had the Salmon and Striploin. Both were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful restaurant, very cool vibe. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5/5 is because the dinner menu is very limited. However, I ordered the pasta with arugula and walnuts and it was delicious! The rest of our table enjoyed their meals too...salmon, pasta, and there was a waygu burger special that night. Great place, great location!

Staff was warm and welcoming. Food was amazing. Ordered the strip loin with mushroom butter sauce. Had to be the most flavorful steak I've had in a long time. Will definitely be making another trip to The Commoner for dinner.

We came for the “murder mystery” dinner and really enjoyed ourselves! It was a good value and was the perfect amount of challenge to solve the crime. Would come again for sure!

The food we received was great, but every part of our order was wrong. We ordered white wine, was served red, appetizer never made it to the table, and was served the wrong dish for dinner. What we received was good, but it made for a bad experience.

Excellent food and service. Very flavorful sauces. Perfectly prepared salmon. Chili crab crunch unique. Scott the server was knowledgeable and attentive.

Great ambiance for a special occasion, sophisticated vibe. Excellent service and the salmon and various entrées we ordered were delicious.

Disappointing. I made reservations for Christmas Eve. The Commoner advertised a Mystery After Dark, a culinary whodunit, and we still don't know whodunit. Why did we choose The Commoner? For the advertised mystery after dark. We have eaten at the Commoner before, but this time, we were very disappointed. The experience is advertised as a prix fixe menu where you try to solve a table top mystery game over multiple courses... well, we were not offered the experience nor did our server have any idea what we were asking about. So our expected $54 dollar prix fixe menu with multiple courses turned into us choosing the Bass, and the Maitake. The Maitake was very flavorful, and worth the price. The bass on the other hand wasn't worth $20 let alone the $42... the fish was dry, extremely small, and the sweet potato wedge that came with it was raw, hard as a rock. The service. Horrible. The hostess took 10 minutes to arrive to seat us. Seats us right next to a group when there was maybe 4 other tables seated?? I should have spoke up and asked to be seated elsewhere. Our waiter, distracted, hyperactive, and inattentive. It's hard to believe when there was seriously only 5 tables for them to serve. I asked for a dessert menu as soon as our meal came. The menu was delivered after we were finished eating, it took him so long to get back to us we changed our mind and decided not to eat dessert. We were so disgusted by the experience especially when we were under the impression a dessert would come with the prix fixe meal. The only thing the restaurant had going for it was the atmosphere. Moody and dark lighting was inviting and enchanting. Overall I would not return and I cannot recommend the commoner to anyone. The price was exceptionally high for the taste, proportions, and menu variety. I also cannot express my frustration and disappointment enough walking in with expectations to experience a table game and a pre set menu with price. I can not recommend The Commoner.

To sum it up in 1 word: unaccommodating Their menu was super limited and didn't even include any dishes with chicken. Server was uninterested in helping accommodate any dietary restrictions.

Brent

Food was good, service great, tables a little close together so volume could be a challenge.

Ambiance is always excellent at The Commoner as well as the service which was prompt, friendly and professional. However, I wonder why there are even fewer items on the menu....not many choices. The burgers were not great but the Crispy Potatoes with Taleggio Cheese were fantastic and so yummy.
