Bartender's Ryan and Kyle are top notch. Great sidecar and a delightful concoction. The food is delicious 😋😋

Service was great starting with check in and Bartender/waiter was very nice and attentive. Always loved this place, but the food quality seemed to have declined lately, however we had a late reservation, so being the end of the night, may have been a factor. They always try to make things right and are very accommodating.
Food was excellent and they bent over backwards to take care of us on a very crowded night
The food was delicious as always they were super busy so the service was a little slow, but that's to be expected this time of year
Nice brunch, we were seated very quickly. Mimosas for a bunch was a good deal. Prices were very reasonable. Food was good for brunch but not outstanding. Ambience is very trendy. Would definitely return.
The food was well prepared and delicious.

Went there for a Thanksgiving dinner — $65 per adult.
The food was just okay, nothing special… but what really surprised me was the automatic 20% gratuity.
For a buffet, with barely any service besides bringing drinks, they still added the full 20% without even asking. 😳
It’s wild how that gets slipped in so easily.
Not the Thanksgiving experience I expected. 🤦♀️

The Thanksgiving buffet contained all the basics but not much more. Volume and ambience were nice.
I really enjoyed my experience and meal here. The vibe was really cool. Sat at the counter. The bartender recommended it get the pork chop and that was such a good recommendation. It was one of the best pork chops I've ever had.

Service was fine, not bad and not great. The food was out of this world good. I was with a party of 5 and we all got different dishes and were blown away. We were also blown away by prices. But we did enjoy all food and drinks!!

We waited forever for our cocktails. The waiter offered the table next to us another round and the gentleman said, “Will it be faster than the first?” They got their second round before we four our first. Our water glasses weren't refilled until we asked. The menu had limited offerings. We almost left except that but the Pens and the show at the Benedum were going on. The pasta dish was good. My husband was very disappointed in the crab. And vegetables?
Have eaten here for dinner dozens of times, often before Pens games. Bar is frequently backed up. 30 min from seated until cocktail a bit much. Drinks always solid, once they arrive. Wait staff and kitchen runners are polished. The food is good but the menu keeps shrinking, currently only a few dishes. Portions shrinking too. Used to be better. Now just OK.
Great cocktails and great food the menu would be hugely improved by the presence of a salad with dark leafy greens - they have an iceberg wedge salad with ranch and bacon but not even like a healthy side salad here.

We traveled to Pittsburgh for a 3-day meeting, staying at the Kimpton. We ended up eating all of our dinners at The Commoner and even had a friend return to order the hamburger again. I do believe that this was the best burger that I've had - why I ordered it three times. All of the other food was equally as good. Service was fantastic and even helped to celebrate a birthday. The Commoner is now a must-do when returning to Pittsburgh.
My new favorite breakfast spot in Pittsburgh! All of the food was perfect. Norca gave amazing attentative service!
Will definitely be back.
