Amazing place. Must have the crispy chicken BLT. It is heaven.

I first ate here a couple nights ago, and had a good enough time to want to come back the same weekend.
They seated us at a broken outdoor table after a 45 minute wait, took over an hour to bring us our food, and even between people who ordered the same dish there was a notable difference in the quality of any 2 plates. The servers didnt come check our table a single time between us ordering and receiving our food.
If I ever come back, i dont want any of the people who worked this shift to be on the clock when I do.

The food and vibe were definitely nice here. The fried chicken has the southern taste and look. Prices were fair and the staff was attentive.

Staff here are friendly and very good. Quick to get you seated and get your order in. Staff is friendly and will come around joke and make sure everything is okay. The fried chicken BLT is the best and I highly recommend it.

This is southern fried chicken with southern style side dishes. Our server, Sarah, was fantastic. She was very attentive, friendly and had jokes. The place was packed and very busy. Sarah was so good we didn't even notice how busy they were. All the sides, especially the hush puppies were delicious.
The fried chicken was good. To be honest, I was expecting it to have more of a crunch than it did, still moist and delicious though. I would highly recommend making reservations.

We arrived at 6pm tonight for a 6:15 reservation. We checked in at 6. We waited until 6:40 to be seated. Your host was extremely rude and dismissive. I explained that we had a show at 7:30, she assured us that we had time to have dinner (but she I really just wanted me to stop talking so she said whatever she had to.) We waited until 6:50 to be waited on. Our waiter came by one time and took our order. He brought drinks. We did not see him again until the food arrived. I had to get up and get us all napkins and silverware. Everyone’s food came except mine- he said it would be out in 3 min. It was a grilled cheese. 10 min later he came out to tell me that my food would not be coming and that he took it off the bill. No offer of anything else. No refill on any drinks. At that time, I gave him my credit card because we were going to be late- he then ran my card and brought a receipt but not an itemized bill. I would’ve liked to have seen an itemized bill so that I would know exactly what I was paying for, but he never came back and we had to leave. It would’ve been nice to at least get a refill of water since I wasn’t going to have any actual food. $123 later and super disappointed. (Also- I would’ve just put all this on the comment section of your website, but you can’t because there’s some kind of glitch.)

We had reservations for this place... And apparently so did the small crowd gathered at the door waiting for someone to show up to accommodate them somehow in a placed packed. I am sure the food is worth all the hype, but being quite attached to my time would rather go elsewhere where a reservation (a lot of them it seems) is honored.

The Mac and cheese, hush puppies, fried chicken sandwich, and pulled park sandwich were all excellent. The only thing we didn’t care for as much was the spicy chicken wing dip. But we had more than enough excellent food to make up for it.

We ended up at The Eagle super last minute before going to see The Nutcracker at the Benedum. Despite being really busy, we were able to be seated right away, which was perfect! The service was wonderful, and our waiter was very attentive and helpful with our questions about the menu. The food was wonderful, and I appreciated the vegetarian options. We got the kale salad, cornbread, fries, mac & cheese, and chicken sandwiches. The other people in my party said the chicken was delicious, and I loved the kale salad and mac & cheese. Everything was so tasty; we enjoyed it a lot! I would definitely go back here.

Vegetarian options: Some great options like pasta, salads, etc. Great drinks as well!

Parking: The easiest place for us to park was one of the parking garages in the cultural district.

The service was wonderful, seating comfortably and food was absolutely freaking amazing. Not pictured, perfectly done hushpuppies with just the right balance of hush and hot. Will visit again!

Absolutely tremendous chicken BLT. One of, if not the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ll be coming back. But facing the gut wrenching choice of ordering the same thing again because it’s so good, or branching out on the menu.

Hard to tell from the photo but the sandwich is also huge. If I wasn’t so full I would order another one.

Slow service, nice vibe, tasty chicken, forgettable sides.
Fried chicken was perfect and truly delicious, but that's the only highlight. Zero horseradish in the mashed potatoes. Fries barely seasoned. No zip in the jalapeno margs. Maybe an off Friday night and too busy. 6pm reservation --> late to the 730 show. Service slow, food delivery slow.
Edit - talked with 2 others who went there. Who also said slow service. Reducing to 1 star.

Probably one of the best fried chickens ever. Sat down the bar, very friendly and nice staff and Negroni was on point. Fried chickens are explosion of flavors, first bite you get a lots of aroma and spice notes (probs cloves or smth warm still haven’t figure it out). Crispy batter, juicy inside and spicy tangy honey compliments it well.
The star of the show for me was the winter salad🤯super fresh simple and yet incredible!
Only complaint is that the chickens were not hot, they were quite cold and felt like they’ve been sitting there for a while, asked to change it once, the second plate wasnt any better! I expected for a menu that just specializes on fried chicken, they would be fresher (warmer)!
