Most of the bad reviews are disgruntled former employees who were let go. Its sad that some folks will stoop to such levels but anyway the food is pretty good although its crowded at times.
Solid food choices, pitt needs to manage the number of tours they take on in the fall can never get a plate!
the eatery is overhated. They have a lot of options & sometimes they offer specialty dishes or breakfast nights. It's nothing incredible but it's never been bad. Workers are super sweet
They call this is a dining hall? This is a soup kitchen. In the spring, BE AWARE, Fridays-Sun between 9am-3pm it will be beyond crowded. I don’t know why Pitt allows every single person who tours the school into the dining hall ALL at once. It will be impossible to get any food. Additionally they let people from third world countries into the dining hall as well, who are very rude and aggressive and impudent, behaving as if though they already go to the school. This is beyond unacceptable and disrespectful to the hard working college students who want to eat breakfast and lunch during the weekend.
Offers food that will get you by for the day although most of it lacks any sort of flavor profile but at the end of the day it is college food, this isint to say that we should not do better to raise the standard of our food quality for students becuase we absolutely should. if you have the money to eat elsewhere or make your own dinner would strongly reccomend you do, I have had multiple instances in my freshman year where I had hair in my food and had to throw my dish away.I would warn against getting milk. Today the chocolate milk specifically, made me vomit within an hour of consumption. Which prompted this review. But I have also heard stories about my fellow peers who have recieved raw meat. So make sure to check your dish before eating for hairs or undercooked meat. At the end of the day your safest bet is salad because it’s pretty hard to mess up a salad. If you do need meat protein I would reccomend ordering from the food truck. Although they are quite popular so I would reccomend pre ordering.
So fancy, much better than CMU

Some people find this place below expectations, but I’m not, it is a nice place, good food overall and price is really good.Menu varies during the week, and food tastes good at least to me.Highly recommended for people on budget and of course for students.

They are open til midnight but they don't have any food after 9pm so I'm forced to go elsewhere
Meh, OK. (from an old dad)it’s an on-campus meal source for University of Pittsburgh students. In the middle of summer break (college campus tour) it appears to be only partially in operation. It serves food from varied cultural traditions, as well as specific dietary restrictions.

Breakfast is good (sometimes), everything else here is bad
Nice alternative to the overpriced breakfast bar at the hotel down the street. Basically the same food but at half the price. I appreciated the allergy sensitive serving station (vegan vanilla oat pancakes were tasty!) and the servers were friendly
Great stuff!!

When I paid for a meal plan granting me access to the Eatery all hours of its operation (not cheap), I thought I would be able to have access to nutritious food at all times. From 11-11:30, when I attempt to eat breakfast, all I have access to is pizza.
So bad. I am not a picky eater, but struggle to eat full meals at the eatery. I have found raw chicken twice, and spoiled produce another two times. Workers are nice but not worth the food poisoning.
