Excellent breakfast paninis, dog friendly, and the service is always incredible. Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast and killer coffee.

Lovely shop in my neighborhood! Cozy, inviting, great place to strike up a chat. The staff today was beyond delightful and we traded all sorts of interesting trivia. I got a wonderful hot chocolate, and will come back for pastries! Parking available off street in the back too.

Basically, the only place to get real coffee in my neighborhood, They have a free fridge in the back, which I think is really cool and I actually donate there often. Couple cans here medicine you know.. I thought that was really cool of them to do that. You get the hippie feeling and I had an emergency few days ago, I had to leave my bike, locked up to a bike rack on the sidewalk in front of the building. Now I’ve seen a bike there for a couple of weeks, but it had the wheels and tires on it. I’m a bije guy so I look at Bikes, And I saw this bike, parked there for weeks. And I bet you know what bike I’m talking about. Now the litter On the north side and troy hill Spring Garden is Out of this world bad. I am actually One of those guys who picks up trash on walks, And I would never leave a trash looking Bike in front of this establishment. I’m not hardheaded either. I understand it’s upside down and possibly could be a safety issue, If somebody tripped and fell. Worst case scenario. And I will apologize for not calling them, and letting them know it was mine and the situation. They also didn’t leave a note on it. They just cut Both locks, And now it’s gone. I have a cinema value on this bicycle like you have no idea. It was my only means the transportation to get places because I lost my car due to a motor problem. I had an electric scooter, but it was stolen recently,.
Now I am an understanding human being. I understand why the café cut the locks., But every day I’ve had somebody to check on it. It was there yesterday morning, gone by the evening. Would’ve been nice if you guys could’ve put that bike in some closet behind somewhere I don’t know, I understand it’s not your responsibility, But Not even give it a few more days post it on social media lost, and found I don’t know you gave no notice of the locks being cut no warning at all whatsoever and then you just let somebody come by like a metal scrapper and take it? That bike meant something to me and you did it all wrong. I’m a good dude, don’t bother anyone I have 3 daughters I’m co-raising being recently separated, and my luck gets worse and worse. I understand your point of view on the whole situation, But the woman, I spoke to you today JANNA ? She didn’t have a single spec of sympathy, and it almost sounded like she felt like I got what I deserved. I’m sorry I didn’t know you owned the sidewalk, And that you paid for that bike rack. And who is it bothering your customers or you getting complaints or just you? I got that bike with me from Santa Barbara California, nine years ago. Almost last in in Salt Lake City, Utah, and a big dip on the freeway. But I drove across the country. You said my bike was abandoned? I had two locks on it. All it was missing was the wheels and tires
You said it was pilfered through Like it had been stripped down. Again, I had somebody look at it every single day as they drove by it it was good, Did one of your employees take it home? I’ll never know because you claim it was put out .
Hope you sleep well tonight knowing you did a DIS ervice and I won’t have a bike anymore cause I cannot afford one. Not even a warning and to talk to me that way on the phone like you the Boss of that neighborhood. You probably out there giving the Fire Dept a hard time Karen.
Soo mean This Janna, So mean.
I saw Bike out there for over a month not too long ago, but he had wheels and tires that’s why right? It didn’t fit into the way the place was supposed to look you just cut my bicycle and give it away.. I think you owe me a bike. Actually, I’ll take an electric bike since I live on troy hill I’m not getting around as easy anymore, So I’m stuck up here with no bike

This café has an upscale vibe but sub par quality. Staff are excellent. Seating and aesthetics are very well done too. Unfortunately, this is yet another premade-food, over-sugared, ordinary-coffee-with-sugar-syrup café.
I won’t be returning here.
P.S. The only local in the shop hollered at us, completely unbidden, to avoid any food at this establishment. We did not listen, and we highly regret it.
Update: My girlfriend and I both came down with food poisoning after eating the reheated eggs and wet mushy bacon sandwiches here.

We were staying for a couple of nights in the area and walked over to the cafe one morning, instantly getting the feeling of a small community there.
