I reiterated I was just calling around for quotes. He gave me a general total price. I thanked him, but stated the price was more than I wanted to spend. He told me to “call him back on Friday” if I decided to go through with the Order. I never called him back. They showed up at my event 2 weeks later?! We had switched the Grove in the interim, so they brought catered food to the original Grove. I have no idea what types of food he brought, or the quantity as we discussed a variety of dishes?! They sued me and took me to the Magistrate to “get their money back”? There was not a Caterer Order, a Credit Card Deposit or a Contract? No Follow-up calls. Nothing. Just my initial phonecall inquiry. He outright lied at the hearing. He told the Judge he said “if I didn’t call him back, to proceed with the Order”?! He said I ordered “Special Pork” that takes 2 days to come in and prepare? I read all of the previous Google reviews and there was mention of “The person answering the Phone is combative, and tells the customer it’s his fault”, “Someone took my Order down wrong and blamed me for it”, “Owners, Hold yourself accountable”, “very disrespectful place”, “The person answering the Phone had a listening problem”, “They forgot my order and didn’t seem to care” etc. etc. If you use them to cater your event, make sure there is a written contract in black and white. Who does this?! This Place is a Fraud, the owners are crooks and perjurers. I’m sure they are fine if you only order a Pizza!

My son and I hit up The Other Place before heading downtown for the Pitt game. It is a take out spot, so we ordered two medium pizzas, homemade breadsticks, and the stallion - a hoagie on a loaf of Mancini’s bread - to go. We stopped by Carnegie Park to feast at a picnic table. The pizzas were good. Nice amount of cheese, cup pepperoni, tasty crust (traditional). Breadsticks were equally tasty. The stallion was definitely a top shelf Italian sandwich, though that was indeed a loaf of bread. Could only eat half. I must note, only after we ordered did I remember I wanted to try their muffuletta. So, I will have to come back.

Fantastic food. Every time. Never misses. I personally love the Hannah pizza and think it’s wonderful. The chicken tenders can’t be beat either. If you’re gluten free, check out their GF crust. It’s crispy and lovely. Never gross. Another recommendation is catering. They cater anything and everything and do it was heart and class.

I read some good reviews about this place, so I stopped in for carry-out for lunch on a Monday. The folks working there were GREAT! Really friendly and they explained how they make much of their food. I was tempted by their chicken tenders, so I asked if they used frozen chicken tenders and they not only said “no” and explained how they made them, they just happened to be making a batch of fresh tenders and showed me the fresh chicken breasts they use to make them. I ordered their Nashville Hot tenders and they were AMAZING! The breading was very light and flavorful and the dry Nashville Hot seasoning was spicy… very tasty!!I also got their Deluxe Italian sub, half size and it was excellent! Very fresh ingredients and the sub came together great… Very Nice!!This place is carry-out only, but they do deliver and they do prepare food rather quickly. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely return!!
