The Porch is such a lovely restaurant. Good for any weather, but there’s nothing quite like breakfast outdoors with a view of Cathy across the lawn. The brunch menu is wonderful and the staff are attentive and friendly. I had iced coffee and the biscuits and gravy. My husband got hot coffee and the margarita pizza. All were delicious and the atmosphere was the cherry on top.
Food was good, eggs Benedict was amazing, biscuits were huge but kinda dry. Water tasted off but water is water. And there flies enjoyed hanging with us. Service was excellent.... I'd go back but with a few tweaks.
Chose the porch for dinner as day one of my husband showing me around Pittsburgh. Since it was almost move in day I suppose more people were there than normal, and they were severely understaffed. Everything took forever to come out, be it menus, utensils, water. But they were very apologetic and we understood. Anyway, we started with calamari, which was very very salty.
