The tap room is a mini bar located inside the beautiful Omni hotel downtown! Staff is extremely kind and very knowledgeable of the menu! I highly recommend their wings and the gumbo! It is a full service bar with a nice draft selection, might I note they also have a couple monitors to watch current games! No reservations, so it is a first come first serve.

A classic Pittsburgh spot with a cozy, old-school charm. The Tap Room has a relaxed atmosphere, friendly bartenders, and a great selection of local beers on tap. The food is consistently good—especially the burgers and sandwiches—and service is fast even when it’s busy. It’s the kind of place that feels comfortable whether you’re grabbing a quick drink or staying to watch a game. A dependable neighborhood favorite.

Service and atmosphere were great but food was not ok. Though we advised of dairy allergy they brought out food with cheese and then the second time with butter.

What a great place to get a late night snack after traveling all day! Nick, our waiter was awesome with a beautiful smile.
The crab cakes were delicious.
I could have done without the news on the TV and just stick with sports!

The staff went above and beyond. Nothing fancy but it worked.
The Tap Room is a hidden treasure in the Omni William Penn Hotel. The atmosphere reminds me of an old English pub, and they have the best Reubens.

I happened into The Tap Room while looking for a way to while away an hour or so. I was not disappointed. Super old-school pub environment. If you happen in there when Cindy and Ron are working, they’ll take good care of you.

The tap room was beautiful but a little more run down than I would expect at the William Penn. FANTASTIC drinks though
