From the moment we entered we knew it was going to be an exceptional experience. Expectations exceeded!! We sat at the bar. Sarah was attentive, present, pleasant and helpful. We chose four starters, two main courses and a shared dessert. It's so refreshing to dine in a restaurant where they carefully create a menu that tells a story, utilizing the highest quality ingredients. Kudos to the entire team! We met owner/chef Joey as well. Our first visit, but certainly not our last. Thank you all for such a wonderful culinary adventure!

Excellent experience as always. Fabulous service and tasty food. The steak is always tender. The tartare is one of my favorites!
The martini service (with caviar bump) is one of the best around pgh if not the best. Apps were all unique and flavorful, courses were spaced out perfectly. Great food, great staff and atmosphere. Definitely a must visit
The menu here is so creative and so delicious! Every visit is an adventure. And the staff could not be more friendly and welcoming. The Vandal is unquestionably one of my very favorite Pittsburgh restaurants.
We had an exceptionally delicious dinner. The atmosphere was cozy, and the drinks were excellent. Will definitely return!
First of all the cocktails and appetizers are really good here. If you want a well made cocktail this is the place to come. We really enjoyed our appetizers, especially the steak tartare which was so fresh tasting. The duck was alright. A bit over done and dry. I think it was a breast but it looked and tasted different than duck I've had in the past. Sometimes I'm disappointed in the accompaniments- they are more of a garnish and really not substantial enough to taste much or even complement the main dish. The service was good. We are always disappointed that no one offers to take our coats. It was very cold and I had a long coat that drug on the floor and was really awkward to keep on the back of the chair. I feel like a restaurant this nice should ask to take your coat as a courtesy. The noise level was quieter than the last time we came. There isn't much to absorb the sound so a few loud tables can really make it noisy.
The food was amazing. Service excellent. We had a table by the window which was cozy for the four of us. My only complaint was the throbbing music was a bit loud.
In addition to the incredible food, I was notice and enjoy the ambient music you play. It's always enjoyable tunes, some of which I recognize, but it just makes the feel there more comfortable. It's never too loud, overpowering or distracting. Love this place.
I always have a wonderful experience at the Vandal. Probably my fourth or fifth time here. I look forward to the cocktails and the food every time. Staff is well trained and versed in all aspects of the menu. I love the cozy French vibes. Food was fantastic
