The martini service (with caviar bump) is one of the best around pgh if not the best. Apps were all unique and flavorful, courses were spaced out perfectly. Great food, great staff and atmosphere. Definitely a must visit
The menu here is so creative and so delicious! Every visit is an adventure. And the staff could not be more friendly and welcoming. The Vandal is unquestionably one of my very favorite Pittsburgh restaurants.
First of all the cocktails and appetizers are really good here. If you want a well made cocktail this is the place to come. We really enjoyed our appetizers, especially the steak tartare which was so fresh tasting. The duck was alright. A bit over done and dry. I think it was a breast but it looked and tasted different than duck I've had in the past. Sometimes I'm disappointed in the accompaniments- they are more of a garnish and really not substantial enough to taste...
